Wearing items

Hi there.

Just got the bot.... Just started a new character...the bot runs fine... just doesn't equip any items it picks up... what do I change to tell bot to equip an upgrade it might pick up?

Fresh level 1 character..so there will be alot of upgrades coming his way..
