Wd pets+Acidrain LOH new best a3 farmer?

having 4-5 pets tanking for you while being ranged and having 2.8 proc coefficient for LOH on acid rain could make this the go to build for a3 farming.

albeit, killing elites will take a while.

a3 farming on barbs are too hard due to having to be in melee ranged. A ranged barb might be able to farm a3 with ease as well.

melee barbs, even with the dmg reduction dont survive well enough even with rend in a3.

what do you guys think about a3 WD farmer?

11.5k armor 1100 all resist. 18k dps base. 18% block for highest amount. 39k hp, 750 LOH....

Dying to much in my book is >4 per hour.

I can run a2 with 1-2 deaths per hour making a2 more efficient for farming atm.

death= running all the way back and rerunning the area. This is a waste of time.

I need to find the class that can kill the elites in the most "efficient" manner. That means kill speed plus death/hr.

edit: being able to kill and finish a3 without death when you are playing vs botting is totally different.

You must understand that bots are stupid.

you're doing something wrong, my bot has 100 less ares and only 8k armor, but i have more block, hp, dmg, and loh and I never die farming a2. I die maybe 1-3 times running a3, takes a while to kill the packs, but the loot and chance of 63 set makes it much better. Although, I'm waiting for either the profile maker or giles to fix the siegebreaker attack issue

sojufiend2, you have got to be kidding. I have paid about 40m on this barb farmer and there is no way im going to spend 10m per armor peice. I spent about 2-3 mil per armor peice and 20m on te weapons/rings/ammy. The bots arent going to get more tankier than the one im running.


excentrizk, what build are you running and plugin?

IM running a bash/revenge/rend build atm. and its doing me ok. Some elite groups (frozen+arcane+whatever) usually causes me deaths. Bees with molten+arcane kill me as well. Otherwise, I dont die.

also, i got a i62 set zuni ring yesterday night rolled perf 9 IAS and 18 MF which sold instanly for 45m and probably could have milked 10-15m more but oh well. Idk about i63 sets only dropping in a3. Ill run my 3 barb bots ( all equipped about 40m gear each) for 3 more days before i come to a conclusion about i63 set pieces not dropping in a2.

After the patch you dont need a tanky build to kill shit in act 3. I dont know why people think running 14k Dps but incredible defense is effecient for act 3 farming in 1.0.4.

Thats what I use for Act3 bot farming

When I'm doing act 2 I change Frenzys rune back to Sidearm and I drop Superstition for Weapon Master.

I dont think I spent 40 million on my gear set so...


I'll die every now and then, but never more than twice an hour.

you die alot per hour? or the other way around.

I want the best characer/build for farming a3 efficiently. that ties in ultimately to kills of elites per hour.

To many deaths would lower that number by alot.

Frenzy with triumph is a nice idea. didnt think about that one. useless vs elites though... so not going to use it. 24% more dmg from bash is better imo.

my barb have 700-800 resist 6k armor 38k health 40k dps
i have no problem botting a3 with melee barb except got stuck by mob with arcane spinning under me.
1 rend will take care of normal mob. elite would couple rend.
btw i only have 200 LoH
i may have spend only 1m on ah

My last sentence means I die..but not that often.

I think dying once or twice an hour in act 3 isnt that bad of a tradeoff considering how fast I kill shit.

Killing shit 5-6 times faster and dying twice an hour > Killing 1/6th of the shit and not dying

Get more damage and more crit, use Giles Combat Routine and watch the bot avoid most of the shit you say you're dying to while killing much faster. Act 3 isnt THAT hard now, even for a "stupid" bot.

ok, ive changed by bots to not use the vitality to armor passive and their armors have dropped from 11k or so to 9400-9700 range.

My buffed dps went up to 25k, 30k with 3 stack bashed.

Anything that I would have died to with 9400 armor, I would have died to with 11.5k armor. Thus getting that extra 2k armor isnt really worth it.

Ill try a3 later when the profile gets the bugs fixed and when more areas get added. A2 makes me happy enough for now .
