So ye, i started to bot this thursday and i used HB for 10 hours straight while i was at the computer.

The next day ( Friday) i got this mail:

Do this got any todo with me botting or can i keep going?

it only took me 10min to get the account back with no suspension for any hours or so.

This looks very similar to the email I have received every month on or around the same date. The first time I received this, I EFFIN Freaked out as I was actually in the process of moving across the country and had a buddy log in and change the password for me. WOW was I nervous that I was caught.

Next month that I received it, I was like WTF?? This is getting old. So I log in and change it again. By the 3rd month I had had enough. That?s when I realized where the issue lies. The email I was getting was not the email that my Blizzard Acct is attached to. It is the email that I only created and used for gaming like this forum. The other areas that I use it for is my Xbox, PS3, TeamSpeak and Vent registrations. I am not sure if there is a correlation, but that is what I discovered. Again, I am not accusing anyone, but it does seem strange that the only use I have for this email is to keep all my gaming emails in the same box and every month I receive this email from "Blizzard". I purposely have an email that I use for exclusively for Blizzard just so there is no chances that if this website is ever compromised will it lead to my blizzard account.

And as far as the different IP is concerned, I alone have access to my account due to the fact that I have the iPhone Authenticator and that never leaves my side.

Yep, I get this all the time with IP cloaking software usage. However, I don't seem to get the pw reset on the accounts I use authenticators, even though they use the same IP cloaking.

I can confirm that this is the behavior and text used by an automatic temporary lock on the account that is triggered by IP address mismatches. It is more likely to occur if the IP address change is in quick succession or when the IP is from different countries regardless of time. I had a long discussion with Blizzard who was more than happy to explain many of the details in the design of the safeguards. If you use an authenticator and have it set to log in every time instead of when it senses changes it will also reduce if not completely remove the auto lock out. The auto email will be sent to the username email on the Blizz account, the same one that you log in with. If it doesn't come to the log in email address it should be treated as a phishing email. I also reported to Blizz the silliness of having a "Click here to change your password" link in their emails when their own FAQ says never click an link in an email that wants your password. The employee laughed and said, wow I never thought of it that way and supposedly submitted it as a design flaw bug but also reminded me that if you are even in doubt or are just paranoid you can ignore the link and just go to Blizz's site directly to change your password.

I can also report that despite the inconvenience it caused on occasion until I reset my authenticator to always ask I was thrilled it was in place when my account was somehow squirreled away from me one time and they logged in from some other country while I was already logged in. I got booted but the account got insta locked and I got that email above allowing me to quickly and personally resolve the issue without having to go through a long ticket process so its "working as intended".

If the suspicious behavior was at all a concern about you botting the email would be significantly different and you wouldn't be able to get your account back just by changing the password.
