Warlock PVP CC?

Think I have tried all the cc's now none seem to work in BG's does anyone know of one? Singular doesn't even support locks yet. All I do is stand there and not attack anything. Mount up sometimes

Youre right, im botting my friends warlock ATM since hes away on vacation and im SHOCKED that there are like 10 different CC's for Warlocks and NONE of them works decent..

EDIT: Clearification- "Works" as in works for PVP

shouldn't you level in demonology? i came here myself. because all i'm doing is pvping and i'm always last on damage. and always getting my arse whooped bad ... someone make a good pvp CC



also i'm level 70 , in full pvp gear , enchanted to the gill. and still no prevail

lol, Seriously? the CC dosnt have any PVP rotations at most it just casts the pull spell and will just sit there.

ever notice the "LOLOLOLOLO" in your log? its because theres no PVP rotations.

Give instruction how the CC should work for a Warlock (provide Talent (Demo,Destro,Affli) and playstyle)

I've a warlock at 85, and i'm willing to code a CC (i'll TRY) but i have absolutely NO experience in pvp, so .. explain it pls

Seems like everyone wants good CC, but no one wants to do anything. Since Stormchasing was so kind to try and help, you should all pay more attention. I don't have any 85 warlock yet, but I'll try a few suggestions and links.

"Unstable Affliction:
Use this spell to cover your dots from dispels and your Fear! Best way to do this against team that's good dispelling Fears is cast UA + Fear. Often when they see the fear land they will start spamming dispel, there's a good chance they will dispel the UA.
Of course People with alteast half of a brain wont dispell it

Haunt:
Keep this spell on CD all time, it's free heal, small burst and buffs your dots.


Howl of Terror:
Try to use this spell only when you have atleast two enemies in range for it, but if it feels impossible to Fear someone use it to get him off you.


Deathcoil:
Defencive:
Use this spell as your last resort CC to save you or your buddy from nuke, or in locking down enemy healer.

Aggressive:
If your going for fear lockdown kill and the healer being CCed has almost fear off him and you think you wont be abel to fear him fast enugh to stop the instant heals send a deathcoil to say "go away". either you will kill your DPS target or it gives you enugh time to cast a new fear


Fel armor & Demon armor
Rotate this armors, if they aren't attacking you there's no sense having Demon Armor on. Pop out Fel Armor for extra damage. However if they focus damage on you, have Demon armor on if needed."

Teleporting could be really tricky for a bot, but if you want to try that too, I'll add more info.

Basicly
-Start off with unstable affliction
-Keep eye on your dot timers
-Use that fear to control them
-Multitarget damage (Soulswap = Love)

Ps. Dont forget damage break fear how ever UA is needed to protect fear

i didnt say i wouldn't do anything, but i dont have a full 85 warlock and i dont do pvp, so if someone does have these things and is somewhat competent, then id be more then willing to work with you.

I have a CC which i modified from the Felmaster thread, which optimises dps "patchwerk" for affliction.

if you'd like to modify it to encompass the above parameters, and add in a logic for targeting, mounting, and handling multiple enemies then i think we'd be rolling.

atm i'm writing a cc for warlock affliction and test it in BGs, arena is totally different thing in my opinion, since u'll need much more crowd control, using the teleport, and so on... so u need to be a little bit more specific on "useful"

atm i've a working cc which can rest, buff and target (movement can be disabled (feature?)), but i'm not happy with the combat himself, and try tweak it this week

Sorry, was annoyed when writing that. I can get over no teleports and not running around in circles.

The CC that comes with Honorbuddy would use the trinkets, but wouldn't use cooldowns in a burst type format for finishing off a low opponent in arena, you want to save your cooldowns to burst down a low opponent trying to outdps any possible heals. It didn't use cooldowns at all or I didn't notice.

It did not try to cc or keep pet on secondary target. A good lock down could happen between fears and seductions if played right.

When fighting same faction it didn't seem to try to do anything other then trinket. Opposite faction it would turn start a rotation if I put him in combat, but didn't seem to be the optimal rotation.

now i'm working on the Fear part (Fear,Deathcoil,Howl of Terror), after some bad conditions i gave up yesterday, this weekend i'm not at home, and after the weekend i'll go on writing the pvp stuff.

the fearing should work with my last change, but i haven't tested this yesterday (i''ll do it today in the evening), if this is working, i'll concentrate on switch target seduce / dps when not cc'd.

I think i'll have a good working PVPPart next week, before publishing this i test this sh** some days and after that i'll need the permission of the CC-dev from the original CC i used to improve

Use HB to switch to auto cast seduce and set the pet on assist stance. It will automatically seduce nearby targets that are not focused/dotted. That's it.

thanks for the tip, the pethandling is not the problem, the choosen base CC does it
but atm the fearing is not working how i want it to work (only a "problem" with the priority, i have to play with a little bit, highest priority for fear, is definitly wrong )

the dpsing works well (as far as i'm not dead within seconds, but that's a problem of gear, no problem with the bot)
after this priority thing, there's only the targetting on my liust for affliction (healers first, then dps)

and last but not least, i don't have the permission to publish, or another feedback from the dev of the base CC atm
