I wanna make quest profiles, but I need to know what quests HonorBuddy can make and what it cant, and if i should wait for HonorBuddy to support more questtypes?

I have seen Cowquest 2.0 and it look really good. I have also looked in wiki but I am not sure its updated with all the HonorBuddy functions.

Have done alot of grind profiles in the past, but now its time to quest :)

Sry for my bad English

Hope you can help me :)

Honorbuddy has always been solid on "Kill tasks" and "Collect tasks" quests, which easily make up 50% of the quests--even with the new Cataclysm mechanics. The remaining mechanisms are being worked on by the Honorbuddy team. There is a series of BugTrackers to try to get this gap filled.

In the meantime, the HBteam has given us <CustomBehavior> as a stopgap solution. Honorbuddy ships with two default CustomBehaviors... InteractWith, and TalkToAndListenToStory. Also, Natfoth has been a very busy beaver in writing these things:

So these new behaviors just opened up more considerably more opportunities to complete quests.

What most Profile Writers do when they run into a quest that cannot be completed, is to capture the <Pickup>, <Objective>, and <TurnIn> details into their profile, but comment them out. This keeps them from forgetting about the quest, and allows for a quick update when a new behavior arrives that can solve the problem for that particular quest.

In my opinion, Quest profiles are so worth writing, even if they might not make the "zone achievement" at the moment. Every quest that gets automated is now available to 20000+ HB users, and is another quest they won't have to run "by hand" for any achievements/rep needed.

cheers,
CJ
