VMware and 3d debate

Hi.

I am testing some configuration with VMware under linux host running win7 guest systems. I am having problems as my linux server runs on a ati 4250 gpu in the mobo, and VMware 3D isn't supported for this gpu. So I am planning to upgrade the GPU to something more powerfull, but i also don't want it to be very power hungry. After some research, those are my choices:
- ATI 7750 4Gb
- Nvidia 650 GTX 1Gb

Both have similar prices, being Nvidia a more powerful, but Ati has 4Gb VRAM. So here is my question. What should I prioritize to run several VM, VRAM or pure power from the GPU?

Thanks!

After a few tests and optimising the VMware guest and D3 config, I managed to get a total VRAM consumed in a Windows environment of 280Mb, so I think that with a 1Gb VRAM, it should be enough to run 4-5 bots without problems, being the CPU the real bottle neck.

Finally, I bought a 650GTX with 1Gb, for 85?, nice price, with 65w TPD.

Just posting if anyone is interested.
