I've tried just about everything.
I've uninstalled HB, all C++ Redistributable packages.

Reinstalled x86 version above.
Reinstalled HB

Rebooted.

Started HB using Admin Mode.. what have I not tried yet?
Everytime I try to run it, tells me application requires the Visual C++ Resistributable Package for Visual Studio 2015 Update 1 x86, VC++ 14.0

I'm running Win10 and didn't have an issue till today.

I'm having the same issue all the sudden. It worked perfectly earlier today left for about an hour came back and now having this issue. I've reinstalled and rebooted and still not able to get in. Also reinstalled a fresh copy of Honorbuddy

Please try doing a clean installation by using the Installer (not the zip) from the updates page

I did that once, but let me try again..I'll let you know

EDIT....it worked this time...Not sure what I did wrong before.
Thanks!

I have actually tried to to do a clean install with installer 3 times now.
i've also uninstalled all the x64 bit versions and reinstalled the x86 versions.

I'll keep trying things.

tony, I have the same error that Techguy1220, I looked at his thread and it's the same image. There are no logs that I can find. as we don't get that far.

make sure you are installing x86 version even if you are on 64bit OS

Hello,

I'm on Windows 7 64bit
I have the same problem since this morning not to connect

I uninstall HB and Visual Studio 2015 x86 and 64 .
I cleaning a with Ccleaner . Reboot . Reinstall with HB Installer.exe and Visual C ++ , but always the same problem.

Would not it be a way to pass the version detection step of Visual C ++ because I do not know how to do otherwise ?

Would you have a solution please ?

I managed to find the problem. It came from an update of my free AVAST anti-virus. I disable it and it's good!
So those are problem take a look on the side of your anti-virus!

I've the same error, after many reboots, the problem stills the same ! I've tried to disable AVAST, I've make installations of HB with the installer, I've uninstalled all the x64 versions of Visual Studio...!

Any ideas ??

Thank's

Hb requires x86 version, install it and if you still got issues open your own thread plz

It looks to me as if antivirus softwares are currently detecting HB as a false positive on launch. Without adding a proper exception to Avast, for example, the antivirus isolates and/or deletes select files pertinent to running HB. I've had to clean reinstall HB at least 6 times in the last 2 days before checking my antivirus.
