Whenever i download the new honorbuddy, SONAR on my Norton Virus Protection keeps removing it, saying its doing suspicious activity on my computer. Is it really a virus?? Or a mistake?

It does not contain a virus. I haven't used Norton much but there should be a option to ignore the "threat".

Its a false positive ( dont you just love Norton ) dont worry its not a virus it just acts like one. Set your AV to ignore it.

everything is a virus to norton and mcafee

ignore it (for hb).

Not really fail...Norton is just doing its job more effectively then other Virus scanners. As HB Does do alot of things a Virus scanner would expect from a virus.

I personally hate norton have found it to be a subpar antivirus in comparison to other programs. 5-10 years ago it was solid. today not so much. Just my thoughts.

I actually like Norton for the most part. It blocks attacks from the computer great. Gives you a summary of what sites may hold viruses and such. I seem to like it, its only done the false-positive twice haha.

I always suggest kaspersky or eset. Norton is the alienware of antivirus software. Yeh it does the job, but it's mostly looks and hype, you can get other software that does better for less cost :).

Also, if you're worried, get an authenticator for your account/accounts.

KIS 2010 was awesome but 2011 version is annoying as hell, it block's every website untill you whitelist that website.

Back on topic, Disable sonar on Norton and everything should be fine.
