Hey folks,

Im having a few issues with Valithria in ICC. As DK and hunter this is obviously a nusiance fight. Yeah they both have ways of healing the boss but they are both excessively long. I figure ill take a Pirest or Shaman or Pally in to heal it while my HUnter and DK go to town on the mob adds. However i havent had ANY luck in getting a CC to target only Val to heal and i end up half the time trying to manually do it (which defeats the purpose really). Does anyone know a CC that allows me to simply target Val and then let the Bot go to town healing it? Or maybe a plugin for targeting that forces the CC to think the focus is in need of heals?

From my experience all routines created for healing do not heal mobs, unless they have special code put in to do so, such as possible fights in SoO (or old fights such as Tsulong in Terrace of Endless Spring). When new raids come out with this mechanic, the developers remove the old content and replace it with the new content mechanics to keep the routine from getting slow and sluggish. So, sadly, the only way to do this is manually healing your target. However, there may be someone here capable of creating a plugin that can force healing on the focus target, but good luck finding someone that will do it.

Cheers man, i may bug folks in the plugin threads.

Ok, so i went to Plugins request section. Seems like what i want needs to be done via a CR unfortunately.

"When the combat routines do not use the built in HealTargeting Class ( HB ) , we can't override their targets from a plugin or botbase.

Atleast not for healing purposes, u'd have to ask the combat routine creator to implement some kind of Focus Target override.

Kind Regards,

Mirabis"

I can actually see a few achievements that could be done easier if some kind of targeting override could be set (maybe an open box where we can input a specific mob or npc name). I dont know how hard it would be to implement such a thing so if its not feasible please shoot me down.

ever tried to set the Mob/Boss as your focus target?
Some CRs have overrides to heal/dps/interrupt the current focus target, maybe this helps :)

yeah. but i havent seen and CC's that force stuff on focus other than main healing. But as mentioned by zeld, its an npc and focus doesnt seem to matter.

from what i can see from code of Oracle, it should be able to heal npcs, haven't tested or looked into it, but it should consider Val as valid target for healing
but i'll check it within the next days, if there is a filter that drops Val from valid healtargets
