V P N Advice

I've just got into botting, been at it about 3 weeks now. I have one account with two level 85's on it that I've mainly botted along with a friend on RaF. Anyway, I'm now going to push my gatherer toon to 90 and start to bot with this account alot more (the other lvl 85 is max inscription and will now serve only as a shoulder shuffler).

What I want to do now is introduce the use of V P N software to mask my the IP I have been using thus far from Blizzard. My understanding is that if I am then banned I could use this as ammunition in my favour to say that I have been hacked and know nothing about "3rd Party Software" usage"

Can people please confirm if my understanding is correct, and also suggest a good V P N service prodiver to use.

there is a reason why %$# and #(*$^ are filtered here. the buddy forum isn't a place to discuss how and why network anonymization should be used.
2nd:
i doubt it will help anything. blizz isn't stupid, if they see 4 hours original IP, 4 hours randomized IP, 4 hours original, 4 hours randomized,... they will know whats going on. hackers hack your account 1 time and get all they can get. they wont log in your account and do the work for you.

One time a hacker leveled my professions to max, got me 70k, and 2 months game time. Idk man. Crazy stuff sometimes.

Agreed, using IP cloaking software on 1 account is sort of pointless. Swapping back to your normal IP so often is a dead giveaway. Only use the software if you have a 2nd account & a way to cloak the IP 100% of the time (read: 2nd botting computer, VM, etc).

Thanks for the replies so far guys, but let me clarify the situation.

This is a botting only account, its not a main account that I will ever play for fun/social interests. It is being run on a separate PC within my household that is only used for botting (it was an old disused PC until now) nothing else and no other WOW accounts will be running from this machine. I want to start using *** service on this machine when ever running wow from this point forward. Why then would I be "4hours original IP, 4hrs random IP" ? If I had *** software then my original IP would never again be seen by Blizzard as running this account, so if/when I get banned I could claim complete innocence and say I've not logged into this account for X number of days/weeks.

Sorry but if this type of post is against forum rules/ethics, then I'll ask for it to be deleted and/or I'll edit my original post so as to save anyone else having to read it.

So you dont need ***. Blizz wont normally ban accounts on the same IP, but different computers.

"I cant help if my grandma is a botter" is the general rationale. Since there are 2 computers it can be easily defended that another person in your home is botting, therefore your main account is safe.

When I 1st started botting I used ip cloaking on diff cpus & all that jazz. The more I realized that general smart botting is what thwarts bans, the less I gave a shit about hiding my IP. So use if you want the extra menatl security. In a few months, you wont give a shit either & prollt wont use it much.
