this beta version just freezes. i unzip it and launch it from windows explorer and it never appears in the taskbar but the explorer window freezes and i can not close it. i have to restart the computer. also when i launch it windows smart screen says my computer is at risk and i have to click more info and click run anyways then the explorer window freezes. the rest of the computer seems to respond fine. also when i went to download from the link chrome says this file is malicious and chrome has blocked it.

ok after 3rd download chrome did not block it and i was able to open and run HB without freezing. but the windows smartscreen still popped asking to run it anyways. HB appears to be working as designed as it picked where it left off.
spoke too soon. i can not control the bot the pause start stop buttons are non responsive and when i switch over to the HB window and mouse over it i get the blue wheel of death. will shut it down with task manager reboot and try again.
ok after reboot it has returned to freezing. going to retry the release version.

Hi, Usul420,

There are no Virus problems with Honorbuddy Beta .1051. (We just checked it through a wide-band virus scanner). What you describe are 'false positives'.

There is a small chance your computer has previously been infected with spyware/malware, and causing these issues. You may want to run an explicit scan for this.

Your problem with Honorbuddy sounds like the Antivirus is interfering with Honorbuddy operation. Please follow the instructions in this article:

There is nothing an application (i.e., Honorbuddy) can do to freeze your computer as you describe. This is ultimately going to be a bug in Windows, the Antivirus, or a device driver. Honorbuddy may indeed be aggravating the bug, but Honorbuddy is not the source of the problem.

cheers,

Hi --

First, let me start off by offering my apologies for possibly 'hijacking' this thread. It is not my intention to do so. I am just trying to get some information for future use. So, again, if I have hijacked this thread in any way I offer my most sincerest apologies.

Secondly, chinajade, when you say "We just checked it through a wide-band virus scanner", what do you mean? Can you give the link to the virus scanner(s) you used to scan the .zip file? I tried searching Google for "wide-band virus scanner" and couldn't find anything useful. This information would be most helpful, thanks!

Hi, Zeldrak,
