using profiles

I have looked everywhere, but maybe I am using the wrong search terms.
I downloaded a profile I wanted to try, saved as xml file, and tried to the auth.gatherbuddy.com. I logged in and received a session limit message.
Can someone point me in the right direction of how to download and use profiles?
