I've been wondering if the bot is stable enough by now to use it for Hardcore farming.
Sure, you can make a supertanky char and farm easy areas, but thats kinda beside the point.

So, does anybody have any experience with using DB on Hardcore mode ?

It is not and never will be.

Well, most of the old D2 bots evolved to a point where botting was safer than playing yourself in a PvE environment.
I guess that had something to do with game itself then, beeing way less complex than D3.

Any other input ?

At least simple things like Manglemaw runs on lowish difficulties shouldnt be a problem. The only danger here would be errors that lead to the bot closing itself, which shouldnt occur during simple tasks.

Especially now when Paragon is account based its np at all.
You will of c loose bots.

I use the bot for hardcore just fine. AFK 100% of the time. When from level 1 to paragon 150 in the last week farming Master. I am at about 95k dps and 1.6million toughness and about 2.1k healing. Running a WD with defensive build averaging 200~million exp an hour and 4-5 leg's an hour. Working very well.

Complete and utter Bullshit.. Don't post on information that you don't know about..

I have 6 Level 60s with paragon 170 and counting all 100% leveled by using this bot..

You simply need to take steps with your bot, Farm normal mode for around 4-5 full round trips (act 1 - act 4 (kill diablo, bot will do it no issues) then move on to hard.. Watch your bot through a full run again make sure hes not getting hit hard.. then step it up again..

With out some CRAZY gear you wont be doing T5 anytime soon, But i farm on T1 when im watching it and on expert when im 100% afk.

To be fair, bots in D2 could chicken if you got low on health. No TP timer and no countdown trying to leave the game.

You can use DB for hardcore but there are a lot of problems to bypass and you will probably have to farm much lower difficulty levels.

- I have found profile bugs that caused the bot to get stuck or turn off combat. A2 royal farms is a recent one.

- There are also bugs in the dungeon explorer where the bot will just stand still or try to explore an area blocked off by an obstacle not recognized by DB.

- Arcane avoidance is almost non-existent. DB supposedly does not detect the size and rotation of the arcane beam, so Trinity assumes it is covering 360 degrees. This is a huge chunk of the screen so a couple of them can easily cause Trinity to bug out.

- Molten avoidance is almost non-existent. Tick 1 if Trinity detects you are standing in molten, it will make you leave. Tick 2, it will see a monster it wants to kill or a health globe across it and makes you walk right back into molten. Tick 3 it'll make you run back again. and then it repeats this over and over again until it explodes. This means you have a 50% chance of being on top of molten when it explodes while not attacking any monsters the whole time.

- Waller support is non-existent. The bot seems to be unable to detect waller. If you get walled in and there are no nearby monsters, you will stand there and not even attack to regain health. It doesn't seem to be able to path out of the walls because it doesn't know there are walls.

I've lost bots that got stuck from arcane illusionist minions farming normal COTA. My bot just stood there doing nothing.

i have had 3 botts running now since Friday night with one single stop for a computer restart from 0-60 + paragon 180 now with out a single time combat stopped.

This is a profile issues NOT a bot issue, My profiles have never had this happen in the last 8 months

- Yep so build defensive not offensive

- Yep so build defensive not offensive and no idea why your bot wouldnt keep attacking..

-once again, you bot should not stop attacking.. Fix your broken bot.

What your toon Naked or something ? i can leave my bot turned off with skeleton king bashing on me and my helf regen is quicker then what the skelton king can attack me on normal.

Fix your broken bot.

Like I said before you can overgear your bot so you can farm 4 difficulty levels lower than you would farm on softcore and take 10x longer.

No matter how geared you are you cannot idle in multiple arcane beams period.

What really will get your bot killed is the db authentication Service. I had around 30 bots on 60, in the end all of them have been dying because you get some sort of "session invalid", "session expired" Errors.

Your bot doesn't even has the chance to return to town. Instead he just stays around. You can gear up as much you want. Standing in arcane will kill you, even if it takes 5 - 10 minutes.

But you can farm for sure, just don't gear up to heavy. You probably will not get back the money you invested. I used to farm only MP1 with decent gear for a Price around 50Mio.

Thanks for all the replies.

I just ran some hours of Manglemaw to try it out, didnt have too much problems. Plus that dudes damage is so low, that he cant kill me on T1. In fact, he just dies to thorns and Merc.

Anybody got some very good profiles to run with HC ? Which dont get stuck a lot or dont involve elites at all ?

I have success running in hc. I have lost many toons, mostly to server lag. The server lag issues seem to have been fixed with the latest patch. I run several bots on several comps. The hc bots I run on my big machine (quadi7,blahblah) with tps at 30.. I play one lvl lower than I could manually.. It does not die, can easily handle stucks.. If you can play hc successfully, you can bot it.. peace

I have not lost a toon to this yet.. But i have seen my DB drop out due to a authentication error.. I do agree.. on authentication error there should be a "finish combat and return to town then stop bot" command that is executed..

BUT.. in like 5 years of botting ive seen this error once or twice.. So if your getting it alot.. i suggest you find out why.

If you don't live in Europe you will be more prone to these errors.

Buddy authentication servers are located in OVH and I have seen them lose connectivity to the US.

Also, the OVH DDoS protection system tends to have some false positives when under attack.

I live is Australia of all places where authentication is done via the POST lol Not really but we have shit net.
