I am currently working on something big for the community in the dungeon buddy section, and if all goes well I WILL have it finished on my winter holidays that will change dungeon buddy drastically going forward. If it works the way I am hoping then I will also be expanding it into other areas as well but this is it for the time being.

My thread topic is dually pointed as I will outline below:

1. As end users, would you be concerened with data storage about positioning and interactions the bot made for your character to better fuel a more robust system that will be less bottish and more efficient at turning out scripts for dungeons and raids from normals to mythic?

2. As developers, do you know the rules and / or process of pulling said data out of the cleanly without scraping any sensitive information pertaining to user accounts. I am positive there was a mining and herbalism plugin or botbase that utilized a server-user interface that forced players onto different paths due to known nodes being collected by other players in mists and am trying to figure out if its still viable or even allowed by bossland.

I welcome any and all advice / criticism within forum guidlines and thank you in advance for it.

Doesn't the bot already do data collection and then prompts end users if they are okay with that on installation?

I had forgotten the bot did this, so I guess that leaves this post in more of the dev rules for how we handle that info and what info we can actually store long term for personal data crunching.
