used bot and didnt get baned

i used demonbuddy for like 8 days total,I bought 1 year sesion and bought few 1 day sessions ,boted 20+ hours per day and i got banned .thats fine ,we can say they detected bot or suspicious behaviour and they baned me .i had rmah and gold transactions,

BUT my friend bought 1 day subscription for bot and he boted 1 day.in that time he didnt had rmah transactions and he didnt got baned.

so to conclude...i think bot as script on ur pc is not detectable cos if it is then he would get banned aswell.and second i think what banned most of us is rmah ( dealing with 10+ mil gold sales everyday ) and huge amount of data packages sent over to server side from our clients. cos we all know bot acts differently then human.

I never once sold on RMAH on my bot accounts. Don't think I had much gold AH either
 
I never used the RMAH to sell, botted no more than 6 hours a day when I was at work and was able to visibly watch it via remote monitoring. I was banned.

I've only been back for like 1 month since taking a huge break with the original Nerf of D3 back 4 - 5 months ago.
 
I also used the 1 day trial and botted for basically 20+ hours during that trial period and this was very recent. I also deal with the RMAH and I did not get banend. More than likely the path the bot takes was detected so when the path is detected by blizzard, they flag your account, but this could be a mistake and they don't want to ban legit players who may accidentally use the same path so they probably have a set number of times the player must go through in order to be flagged for perma-ban. 8 days of botting should be sufficient for you, but for me and your friend, 1 day of botting, then 1 day of legit playing the day after will probably cause the blizzard software to send out a false-positive and they unflag the account. I'm more than likely wrong but that's just what I think
 
A member of this forum botted for 5 hours on a new account (leveling up) and got banned.
So it is something serious
