Im currently using Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67GHz (Overclocked to 3.40GHz).
But now I need a new one because it cant handle all my WoW's up :P Any ideas?
It needs to fit a LGA1156 socket.

Im thinking about this one: "Intel Core? i7 Quad Processor i7-870". Is this a big upgrade?

Get the 920 or 960. They both will rock the socks off a i5 any day of the week.
I have had (currently still do on the 960) both. I overclocked my 920 to 4.0ghz on air, and my 960 to 4.2ghz on a Cosair H70.

Memory is a huge thing too. The game is a CPU/Memory HOG.

You don't need to upgrade your cpu.. If you really want to, then don't get the same socket because it will hardly be an upgrade. Get a sandybridge processor if you want to upgrade, or you can wait for bulldozer to come out and you can upgrade to that.

ok thanks man, thats what I wanted to hear :P
Guess I?ll buy a new motherboard aswell.

What do you guys think about this mobo cpu setup with 16gb RAM? Will it run better than my i5? :D

ASUS P8P67 EVO B3, Socket-1155
Intel Core™ i7 Quad Processor i7-2600K

Sorry for the late response, but that is a nice set up if you're going to be running 10+ bots on it! 16gb of ram is overkill, even the 2600k is overkill for normal gaming! If you're not going to be running a lot of bots on your comp, I would go with a 2500k and 8gb ram.

my setup is 2600k and 12gb ram and 2 560 in sli

and im running 15 clients easy on that this machine to add im watercooling everything but to get the maximum out of the 2600k u should buy a h70 or a antec closed watercooling system wich does the work very good also (also its alot easyer to install and work with)

to upgrade in that socket u are atm is just dumb they are killing that socket this summer to make space for the new socket..

sry if i went off track but this is just my though:)

PS! also everyone thinks its about the cpu and shit but if u dont have 1-2 SSD disks u gonna bottleneck there anyways:D

These closed loop water cooling such as the Corsair H70 and the Antec system are absolutely terrible. There are many air coolers which surpass these coolers at a fraction of the price, the Noctua NH-D14 for a start.

If anyone was thinking of the user they would advise him to stick with what he has until Intel release the replacement to the 1366 range. The announcement is expected last quarter of this year with it reaching the retailers by about January.
Also, ginto is correct about the SSD, check out the the SATA-III based ones for optimal performance, anything by Intel should be pretty hard to beat.

ur 100% correct about this synik but the price for noctua is the same in sweden as for the corsair/antec. also about it having same preformance is not true if u have a good flow in the machine and go with dual fans on the corsair (if u use 2 noctua fans) u will never get near with nh-d14 in temps.

also he said he wanted to buy now thats why i didnt say anything regarding the new socket thats coming up:)
