As part of our continued efforts to improve the Exilebuddy user experience, a set of settings window changes will take effect in the next Beta/Release.
ExVault and myself have come up with an updated design that should help improve the usability of the settings window.
The motivation for these changes is simple: we need to make Exilebuddy more reflective of a modern bot made for 2017 and beyond, not one stuck in the past.
The changes themselves are pretty simple.
The "Official" category contains content supported by us. This way, users know exactly what comes with the bot, and there's a clear distinction between community content and ours. Everything under this section will be compatible with everything else in the section (although that's not fully reflected yet because most existing plugins were made for OGB and will be replaced for 3.0).
The "Community" category will contain pretty much everything else added to the bot. There's been an exception made due to upcoming 3.0 changes that haven't been covered yet though. OldGrindBot will cease to exist moving forward. It's not compatible with our new code from ExVault, and has not really been changed or improved over the past few years. As such, we're still providing it along with the bot for now because people are reliant on it, but it'll officially be dead for 3.0. Something will take its place, but more information on that later.
Lastly, the "Dev" category is a generic category for development related things. Currently, most tool based plugins or example providing plugins reside here, but some changes and additions are planned for 3.0 as well. Most users will never need to visit this section.
* Some last minute changes were made after screenshots were taken, so when this change goes live, it'll look almost the same with a few things moved around.
