Upcoming Cata 4.0 patch

I am new to the whole bot scene but was curious about anticipated down time for HB once patch 4.0 goes live. Are we talking days, weeks, or months before HB is back up and going?
 
If I was to make an unsubstanciated guess I would say 5 - 14 days.
 
So I'm thinking since it will be down the HB team will be personally farming stuff for me. I will supply cookies and beverages to the team!

Well can imagine the work that has to be done.. All CC's will be broken etc O.o

And Im really cuirous how they will manage to make Bomkins work, cuz of they unique Balance/Nature(?) bar
 
We are already working on Cataclysm and 4.0.1.
There's shouldn't be that much downtime for Cataclysm in December but 4.0.1 is coming soon and lots of stuff has changed but i am working as much as i can this week reversing stuff that has changed in 4.0.1 to make it easier to move it to HB once 4.0.1 is pushed.
 
Well in all honesty, in the past the HB has been pretty quick to fix the software. But also the community was quick to fix CC's and profiles, I'm hoping it continues. :)

since i mostly use GB right now im hoping that will be updated quicker than HB. it seems to be a simpler functioning piece of software and does not rely on community CCs or properly coded profiles and should be easier to get back up after the patch. However i hate coding myself, and understand the frustrations of a simple but program breaking bug that is impossible to track down.
 
Wow i'm impressed. The developement team seems to really be on top of things unlike other pieces of software.

This is something Ive been wondering about as well. Not only for hb but gb as well. If cataclysm is anything like wotlk when it first came out then prices will be hugely inflated (in game I mean). Does anyone know if there are any herbs or ore on the beta?
 
Yea my 2 accounts both are on beta...sup? what you mean about herbs or ore?
