Ungratefull Trend - I can't Believe it.

I am actually starting to get frustrated with the amount of bitching and complaining that has been going on in the past few days. Since 5.1, Mostly 2012 year registered users are complaining about Bot efficiency, and other issues. To the Buddy staff, keep your heads up. Us originals will always be here and hope you are too!

I for one am suprised how fast your bot got up and running after the patch, it was less that 24 hours. With regards to nerf, to nodes and such, make a bigger profile so that nodes have time to reload. (a comment on another thread I saw recently is making me write this)

When I used wowglider back in the day, then mmoglider, I have to say that this staff is speedy in comparison with WAY less ban waves. Are you guys all forgetting that I cannot remember the last time ALL users have been banned. Wowglider had a few of those, and for this reason when ever new patches were released it took a week of two for a working release to come out.

Not to mention we have all came a long way, it started out from a waypoint system that working like this : 1-2-3-4-5 back to 1 and you needed to make the first and last waypoint connect of else you would be fucked. We now have a mesh system, questing, dungeons, proffesions, maybe not all up to par but remember this is a private company working against a corporation and good things come in time. We all need to take a step back appreciate what we have and stop the flaming..

Honorbuddy team, your bot quality, amazing. Forum Support, next to none. Community (new people), could use some work. Developpers, incredible.

To everyone working on this bot, addons, pluggins, profiles, I salute you. You make life easier for me and all of us and I just wanted you guys to know that.

Thanks for being such a positive person in here. You just lumped all 2012 people into this - bravo \./

HB does rock and they do a tremendous job with updates and support! I also ...ready... "DONATE" to a few of the coders for their amazing talents :)

There is also a nice guide that you could read that would explain how easy it is to enlarge your gathering profile instead of demanding someone do it for you.
 
Even when everything is working above expected, people will still complain. Human nature.

i gotta agree, most of the newish users expect everythin to be spoonfed and served on a golden plate lol. probably thats why there are so much negativiness towaeds them because they cba put in any effort.

myself i have none problems with hb,as a 2012 user, works good and gets stuff done. much more what i expected this to do
 
For me, as an oldish user, It's hard to understand why Questing worked perfectly before and it is terribly broken now. I primarily use the bot for doing dailies and stuff. I'm not a gold farmer. However, BGBuddy and Gatherbuddy seem to be working okay for me. Anyway, I understand that when the game changes, the bot changes and sometimes it takes a little while to catch up. I'm not going to complain about it.

I guess you've never sold to consumers before.

People pay for a product and if they aren't happy they complain. Pretty standard fare. If you think this is ungrateful then you need to educate yourself on basic B2C business.

also- ungrateful to profiles and plugins etc is different. Those aspects are free. If you sell a product expect criticism however constructive.
 
Yeah you're right. I, for one, am amazed that this bot can do so much stuff, back when I started botting there was just Gatherbuddy and you had to put spells on certain skillbar to make the bot attack mobs you encountered while gathering or even mount up, lol :P
 
I haven't played WoW in about 3 years, started up again for the hell of it, found Honor Buddy, and I am quite amazed. Bots have come a long way since Glider's time.

I don't think people realize the amount of programming work that goes in to a bot, especially for a game like WoW. So when updates come out, you can't expect it to work right away, it takes time to figure out any important changes and fix the bot accordingly, especially if you want it to be more safe. I was honestly surprised when HB was updated within less than 24 hours to work with 5.1.

Another thing is, bots are obviously illegal and against Blizzard's ToS! How the hell can people complain when they should know this. Yeah granted you are paying for a product, but bots are kind of an underground market, which doesn't quite follow the same rules/trends as most products.

Also, as a developer constructive nice criticism can be helpful. Whining and bitching on the other hand is not, but people do it anyways (it's not going to make me work any harder or faster).

Thank you to all who make botting possible! Creators of HB, profiles, routines, plugins, etc!

Blizzard removed a ton of functions on their quests that we relied on and we were not able to find duplicate functions and had to re-create the entire questbot. It is worse now but based on what changed its actually amazing. It is still being improved and we are doing our best to try and get it back up to par.

I think if we could get Dungeons sorted for AFK then questing would be near obselete. Surely that's a quicker solution for the levelling side until quests can be reimplemented?
 
There was a time when Botting was reserved for those who could handle everything on their own, their own support, profiles, and other bells and whistles. Everyone complaining is at best a script kiddie who can barely use Microsoft Word yet they claim to "run their own multimillion programming firm" and "would never release such an unfinished product." Those people get me the most, its the internet. I'm Bill mother fucking Gates here, and you can't say otherwise because its the internet.

These people are the bane of human society as the growing number in the population's mindset is entitlement, I am entitled to whatever I please and just because I paid for it means I deserve exactly what I want. Reality check, that's not how the world works. EVER. You ungrateful script kiddies pay a modest one time fee to use this bot for life and if you even Google'd other bots you would find that the one time fee for Honorbuddy is the monthly subscription to pretty much any other decent bot. Every other bot in comparison is a complete POS that hardly functions past a basic way point system.

There, I vented it.

tl;dr Learn how to program and make your own bot if you don't like it script kiddies.

i've been greatefull and i am

we just "want" some feedback/eta/whatever
GB2 works fine, questing and lazyraider too (im happy, cuz all worked fine after the patch), but for many ppl the main income is their professions
and still no eta on PB fix, not even a single word from the devs

thread is full of posted logs, requests, questions and problems, but 0 answers
that's just annoying
