is there any programs that can do this? my laptop runs hot while playing wow and HB even if i use the low setting wow copy

is there anything i can use to maybe undervoly my cpu so the laptop runs cooler and turns off the damn annoying fan

thanks

why dont you try with a laptop cooler instead?
they dont cost much and works very well!

i am using one but still the laptop runs warm i would love it to be cool to the touch not warm

What brand is it and model? cause if it has a i7 in it it should not be over heating in dam WoW...If I was you clean it...did you know the tiniest bit of dust can cause a over heating problem on the cpu's on laptops.

i would not say its over heating its just to damn warm to be using in my lap even with a cpu cooler laptop cool but i will clean all the dust outa it thx for the tip

Yea my Asus G74S gets hot but thats normal for a Laptop to get hot on your lap man, your graphics card is what is making it hot not your cpu in this case, Were jaming a card that is ment to fit in a desktop, not a laptop but yea every laptop will get hot while playing games just watch your CPU temp ect get a program called CPU TEMP and it will tell u how hot your laptop is getting if its under 60 then its fine mine runs at 42 while in 2 instances of WoW

my temps running wow in ultra is 88 celcius

is low wow sometimes it will be 70ish then shoots back up to 80 and 90 with chorme and hb open

and this is with a logitech laptop cooler

i have a sony vaio F series Laptop....

it did run a lot more hot without the cooler so that did help a little but it still heats up my palms and thats what is annoying me when

Yea it is most likley dust in your cpu area try and find a tutorial or something on how to put it apart....my gf's laptop ran at 70 degree's and turned off sometimes in Sims 3 then I pulled it apart blew away any dust and it ran fine at 40 degree's...So yea put it apart man and give it a good blow down ect

Don't place it directly on surfaces that could clog the fan airway, try a cooler or get some Air in a Can and spray near the fan or take it to a local computer store nad have it cleaned. Common problems with gaming laptops is the overheating..
