Unable to resolve www.buddynav.de part 2

What the heck is going on. I am running Honor Buddy 1.9.6.2827
and it was working fine all day but then about 8:30 PM EST
I started seeing this error show up in my log and Honorbuddy
just started freezing up.

I am playing on a private server but that has nothing to do with
it. It was working all day just fine and this just started this evening

So why the heck is this not able to resolve buddynav.de all of a sudden? What is
going on with your servers?

I have attached a full copy of the logs bellow as well. I have been running the
[1-60] Horde Grind [Tauren][v1.0.3][By wired420].xml profile
all day and it has worked fine now all of a sudden I am getting this.

I have no problem resolving anything else so it is an issue some where
with one of your servers. My connection is fine and resolves
everything else perfectly!

Please look into this and fix this immediately.

IF YOU ARE NOT A DEVELOPER THEN DO NOT REPLY TO THIS THREAD this has been put here FOR the developers to look at and fix.
If you are not a developer do NOT reply in this thread!

I ONLY WANT TO DEAL WITH THE DEVS not some clueless kid
who doesn't know what is going on.

So fix it.. reboot the server and get it back online if it has crashed. And it isn't the fact
that it isn't online it is that the domain isn't resolving all of a sudden any more.

Which is what you should be looking at.

What name servers are used for that domain? That is what you should be looking at

Looks like no one can communicate with those name servers

No. We have no version of hb atm. Gatherbuddy works. How do you know that wasn't on purpose??

So it's simply down for now and we have to wait it out. I mean, that sounds okay to me, as long as it's coming back eventually :)

Edit:judging from your previous post, it might not be coming back after all?
 
I don't know why its down and if I did I wouldn't say ;)

Yes you do.. the last versions were working it looks to me like the DNS went down for that domain and that is the reason
why no one can resolve them right now. Fix your DNS for that domain and things will be fine again!

It would have went down long before this it isn't on purpose it has been up all week and weekend.
and everything was working fine then all of a sudden tonight it just stoped.

Start looking at your DNS because the domain isn't resolving which is the problem here.
 
But what if Bossland or another dev is updating it for the new Honorbuddy coming in a day or two? And they can't just 'put it back up'?
 
We do not support private servers only retail. I'm done arguing.
 
It could be as simple as someone accidentally kicked a cord and turned off a server or gateway

The nav server is down, for a reason. Does it affect anybody that uses a version of WoW we support? No. So its not our problem that you can't bot on your private server.

If you don't like the fact that we don't support your little server, then tough shit. Sucks to be you doesn't it?

Stop being an asshole. Trust me, I can be a far bigger asshole if you push it far enough.


TLDR; it's down. Deal with it. It doesn't affect supported users.

@Everyone else; stop flaming on the forums. Getting a bit tired of seeing all the hatred going around.

er, is this darkshado know about how HB is down for patch4.01 upgrade aka HB is down purposely?

almost 7days now hasn't it, can't wait to hear about the new HB in coming days...

oh, i read the part1, well, dev mentioned HB/GB dont provide support for private server, i guess that conclude it huh...

Enough Said? Private Servers arent supported. Please lock this and leave this be :D

@Poison Ivy & timotyman; I'd suggest editing your posts.

Also, another note; when HB for 4.x comes up, your private server build will be useless anyway. (HB will no longer know about 3.x patch info)

private servers are not supported, end of story, i hope you are all enjoying patch 4.0.1.
