You have not selected a valid instance of WoW to attach to!
Please restart Honorbuddy and choose a valid instance of WoW to use Honorbuddy with!
This version of Honorbuddy only supports WoW Build #14480
You are currently on build #0

I've read the wiki, and searched for every I could find relating to this error.
I'm running the admin account in windows, hb is loaded up ran as administrator, my bot is logged in and ready to quest in outland. dx9 is enabled, wow's in windowed mode, no ghost processes are running because i've restarted several times, tried restarting the client several times, and have downloaded multiple copies of the latest version of hb.

Is there a step I'm forgetting? I'm a first time user, but I think I've followed every direction I could find. What could I be missing?

check on your task manager about a ghost Hb process and kill it

Is a ghost process just another process of HonorBuddy.exe that hasn't ended properly? There wouldn't be a ghost process if I restart my computer and then load HonorBuddy for the first time correct?

correct

Okay, there is definitely no ghost process running. No process of honorbuddy running at all, start wow, log in, log toon in, start honorbuddy, same error message. I'm really stumped on this one.

No firewall, yes wow's patched fully otherwise I wouldn't be able to log in, sec getting the log now

I thought the exact same thing a couple weeks ago. But turns out you can actually play WoW while its patching still. It just hides itself in the taskbar. But i'm pretty stumped too. If you find a solution please post here so I can see what you did to get it to work.

Hm, If you have any addons try disabling all of them. But honostly. If you have a fast enough computer. Id try to reinstall/update WoW. But see what Tony says first.

redownload Hb and make a new installation from scratch

restart your pc and try again

make sure that you are logged in the game world before running Hb

Okay I believe I fixed it. I usually dual boxed before this so I had had renamed my WoW.exe to WoWleft.exe and WoWright.exe to indicate which monitor that client would load on. After renaming it back to WoW.exe Honobuddy hooked properly. Just to test, I renamed the client back to WoWasdfasdf.exe, and Honorbuddy did not detect that one. I don't believe any documentation anywhere states that the executable's name mustn'd be modified, but if you're someone that tinkers around, it might be something that gets overlooked, as in my case. Thanks for all the help everyone!

Edit: Missed the post stating you had gotten it working. I will leave this for others who may need help

Ok all these post and no one has told you to make sure HB is running as administrator. If your using vista or 7 right click and select run as administrator.

Sometimes when I update HB it won't be set to automatically do so.
