Tyrant used but not banned

I bought Tyrant like a week after Overwatch release, used it for a good day of use, probably like 4-5hours. 2 days later, there was a massive banwave for Tyrant user. But I didn't get banned and I'm still running strong at level 137. Are they doing delayed bans just like in WoW or I got lucky the OV warden wasn't active at the moment I played?
