Two accounts - "Abuse of Economy" - first ban ever

I guess i should call them and say that ive never sold gold and that i was just playing like usually, doing sha of anger, when i suddenly get disconnected and cant log on again. Or will they ask followup questions?

Botting too many hours. You really need to run a better setup which includes at minimum rotating profiles and accounts.

You can try appeal the ban but with the amount of bans that has taken place I am pretty sure you were amongst the typical collect and ban list that they do from time to time.

It still suprises me abit that i get called under the "abuse of the economy" topic, i mean doesnt that mean that they banned me for amount of auctions and not because of time spent herbing and oreing? If thats the case, ive actually havent sold any gold whatsoever, and neither have i given gold away.
If im banned because of my botting hours, it still have gotten kind fast, since i as said didnt start botting until a week ago, and its only the latest days that ive actually been botting alot, and ive changed zones. From Kun lai, to townlong, to dread waste to valley. Im just very much confused about the "abuse of the economy part" and if i were to call them now, what kind of questions they would ask me. This is what Abuse of the economy says:
We take action against accounts for Abuse of the Economy when one or more characters on the account are identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy. Please note that this category can include accounts we find to be "supplying" property for exchange to "real-world" currency. "Supplying" can be described as otherwise normal in-game play (such as gathering ore and herbs) and filtering these goods to a final account for the "real-world" currency exchange.

klutte, followup questions might happend. Abuse of economy can simply mean you sold items that were gathered by botting. I would try to appeal it anyway, and hope for the best. Calling them is good if you have any social skills to pay the bills :p

They changed it to 72 hours. The guy i talked to on phone didnt ask any questions that would involve me admiting to anything. All i said was that my wow accounts got disconnected and that they now were said to be closed to me. He then looked into it, came back and said that my accounts hadnt been compromised(hacked) and that they had detected the use of third party program. But he could send my appeal forward to a GM team, for futher investigation. All i got from them, about 1 hour later was:

Thanks for your contact!

After careful investigation and consideration, we have agreed to adjust the action on your accounts from closures to 72 hour suspensions and account warnings for both accounts.

Please note that these warnings will also be taken into consideration when determining the consequences for your account should it be found in violation again in the future.

If you wish to review our current rules and policies, they can be found here: http://eu.battle.net/support/en/games/wow/conduct-penalties

Regards,

These are my first warnings ever, so im not sure if i should just give up HB completly(bought 1 extra key a few days back) and im also abit pissed off that they didnt bother to give me a personal detailed message of what they thought i had done. After all, while the account might be their property, its abit rude to just close something down without a proper explanation, regardless if im guilty of "abusing the economy" or not. Auto banning and then investigating with no explanation sounds crap to me.

So irritating to miss out on two days of dailys, but i guess i should be happy i have my accounts still.

72 hour ban
Following a review of your case, we can confirm that such program has been used on several occasions by your account, and that the subsequent action taken is appropriate. We would not look to enter into any further communications on this issue as the matter is now considered closed.

I've received a 72 hour suspension once on one of my accounts for "use of 3rd party program". When I called them, emailed them, and reticketed my issue, all responded with the same response to the question of "why". "We are not at liberty to give any information on the why, nor do we have to. Just know that we have evidence to support our claims."

Sadly they can and will do as they see fit without needing your concent or informing you to much of the whys and howforth. Which sucks...
