Thanks for making a contribution to the Community, but you need to immediately take one of two corrective actions on this:

  • If this is in any way based on Reviir's offering, you need to take this down immediately, or suffer a perma-ban.

  • If this is original work, we'll need you to rename it.
    The name "Omation" has already been claimed, and reusing the name of a bot that is still offered just confuses the Community.
We always welcome contributions from the Community. And, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks of the existing Omation offering--this is just common sense.

If we don't see one of the two corrective actions taken over the next couple of days, this thread will be removed.

CC/Plugin Releases
Default CC/Plugins are free to use - You can modify, copy code from, etc, all you want. If only simple changes have been made, it must be noted.
All CC/Plugins are released under an open source BSD license. If you re-use someone's code, its fine but you must give them full credit for their code.

This applies to profiles as well. Overrides and locations may be used from other authors profiles as a basis for a new profile if that profile benefits the users.

Hi, Lbniese,

Thanks for discussion. We've had a number users posting other people's (paid version) of code in our forums. Doing this, by many laws, is considered 'theft', and the Buddy forums will not be party to that. We're just trying to make certain that this isn't going on here.

Perhaps I am confused (which wouldn't be new :) ). I used neither this offering, nor Reviir's offering, so I don't know the purposes, or differences. (In fact, I've never even used PB--got to get around to that someday. :))

Is this a reposting/mod of Omation? If so, then this applies (from here):
Bugfixes of CC/Plugins developed by 3rd parties (CC/Plugin developers), and the like should stay in the thread where it was released.​

If this is a completely new product and original work (or a derivative work of the free version of Omation), then it would probably be in everyone's best interest to rename it to prevent confusion with the original.

Once we get this sorted, I'll delete these off-topic posts to prevent cluttering the thread with what amounted to confusion on my part. I see Turpine has renamed the offering, already. I'll give everyone a chance to read through this discussion to make sure everything was above board, then delete all this non-profile related messages tomorrow.

Hey China,

I'm new to the community here and have released my first profile. This is my auction house profile. I have changed the name of it to "Turpine's Auction House Profile" from "Turpine's Auction House Omation". This is my original work HOWEVER I modified AHBuddy in professionbuddy to do the type of functions that this bot offers including, GBank Withdraw, Gbank scanning, auction house undercutting (I specified specific items for it to post on auction house and to undercut it for automatically).

I also did a search on the forums for Revir or whoever you were talking about and it appeared that the user did not have any submitted profiles.

Thanks and hope ya guys enjoy my profile I will have more coming soon!
 
nope, you have no proof whatsoever.. This is in fact my profile and I can provide more than enough proof of this.

this guy has been trying to resale our work i found out and removed him from the svn (per our rule that is clearly stated) so hes pissed

If you even tested my profile out you would realize this is a HALF FINISHED profile. I still have plenty of work to do. It only has a few item databases in for posting on the auction house. I am even considering adding information from the undermind journal so it doesnt even have to scan the auction house.

I appreciate all criticism but to come on my thread and troll me like this kind of ticks me off.

I dont sell many copys now days fyi because not allowed to have the links up here on the forums anymore.

But considering you dont even consider the people you talked to every day friends you just talk to them then steal from them I would expect nothing less.

Reviir is a scam artist never deal with him; he CHARGED ME $250 for this exact file. He advertises by privately messaging people. I got log proof on other accounts!

Thank you for your time and coming on my thread. I do appreciate your criticism of my code, but what I DON'T appreciate is your constant, convulsive behavior! How dare you insult me like you have when I have tried to show you a little respect.

THIS IS A COMPLETELY MODIFIED SCRIPT. I took the code form AH Buddy, you can clearly see this and modified it so that it undercuts auctions for you ONLY FOR SPECIFIC ITEMS NOT ALL THE ITEMS LISTED ON AHBUDDY! This is a completely original script created by me.

I laugh at your accusations because this profile is NOT EVEN Halfway done, that's why I am offering it for free because it has many bugs, glitches and errors. The next step in the modification of my Auction House Bot is adding the underminedjournal to the item database SO IT DOES NOT have to scan the auction-house. I am also working on a bug where it won't post on the auction house if both the Gbank and the mailbox are full.
