Hello all, I'm currently trying to recover an old account of mine, and since I'm going to be waiting a while to get in the phone queue, I have a few questions.
Not long ago, my account got hacked and I stopped caring altogether. Now, I'm playing again and I'm trying to get it back. With my new account, I was able to use the same email as the previous (lost) account. This leads me to believe that the email was of course, changed. Now, I do remember the name of the WoW account itself, and provided that info in the ticket, etc. The name on the account is mine, and I will be able to submit valid ID for it. However, I know that they use CD keys as proof as well. I do not have my WoW (Cata) CD key around anymore. But, the battle net account has a Diablo 3 license on it also, which I DO have the CD key for. Would they accept that as proof also? I'm trying to get them to link the two (New and old) accounts together. I do not know the new email on the lost account, though, since it was changed without my consent. I do know the Secret Question/Answer, but this was BEFORE Blizzard decided they wanted people to update their questions/answers. So I'm not completely sure about that one.
With all this said, how likely, with your experiences, do you think I can get my old account back and link it to my newer one? I've never had to really deal with CS before.
