Honestly, its probably best if you get locked out. When a new version comes out from my understanding, HB cant provide proper security through their bot.

Last night during the ninja patch, I decided to let 5 of my farming bots keep running and they got banned for "selling ingame currency for real-world". I have never sold gold on that account once. They probably just saw all the gold i was sending through the mail and detected it that way and assumed i was selling gold.

Best bet is to take the 5-10 hour break and resume when a new version is out.

so you think because you mailed a lot of gold that HB was detected?

since the new version does not install until you exit the game and use the launcher i would assume your totally fine running until wow crashes or u get kicked out...

i let my hb run for two days before i let wow update I was skinning for like 50+ hours id say it was like 3 patches ago. i just let it run on my other pc and there was no problems.. still have that account running as well hasn't been banned yet

If only i'd get a dollar every time we get a "the truth is..." topic, I could stop botting and retire.

Like Brainiac said, if you were running bot with the old version of wow it's the same as it never was an update. Old honorbuddy, old wow. And when you close the game and it updates, you can't start the bot anyways(old version).
Your ban is probably reports, or earlier detection, 99% nothing to do with the ''ninja patch''.

Of course. But how many players stay on the same old wow verison for days on end or late night hours ? Just a red flag.

From a few million players? idk.. like a few thousand at the very least? How would you pick any out of that mass. There is alot of no-lifers with 30 alts who send gold all the time who probably wouldn't update for some time too if it happens to be while they play. And there is many of them.

Its impossible. Kinda untill you log off and update client... Use brain...

Blizzard is running a lot of programs not just wow on their servers, they all have to work together. so when Warden is upgraded sometimes they need to make changes to WOW, so they both still work together . now the changes are on their server and does not matter 1 tiny bit if you upgrade wow or not . when you have not updated all that means is on your PC its not up to date . on blizzards server it is updated.

dont be fooled any update puts you at greater risk if you update wow on your PC or not

Meaby you have all right, but if you are wrong ? what than , in my opinion after ninja patch bot shoudl auto crash the game, loging off for safe every ass.
And about updates, if i worked for Blizard i gona told to friend do any ninja patch every day that will end the story of botting cus updated took longer than every 1 day !!!
