Don't mind if the decision isn't up for discussion but can someone please help me understand the rule that has been quoted above and how it applies to the relevant situation as I have now closely familiarised myself with the said rulesand am still having trouble interpreting them. I wish to avoid reaping a Mute or Ban in the future.
The rule preventing WTB/WTS/WTT or an "implicit form of buying, selling or trading" I assume would imply some sort of ownership rights to buy, sell or trade a relevant product - else it would be completely meaningless. So I assume my post doesn't fall into that particular rule. I assume then that my conduct falls into "straight up promotion" though I do not understand how pointing to the existence of another product is an "Activity that supports or encourages a cause, venture, or aim" (promotion in the Oxford Dictionary sense) - under this logic simply pointing to the existence of something would be to support or encourage it which would make the word 'promotion' completely meaningless.
Can someone please provide me with an explanation of how I am to interpret this rule? Does promote mean "mention the existence of?". If someone asks "where can I buy cola" and I reply "coke costs $2 and can be bought at your local supermarket" am I promoting Coke?
Thanks in advance!
