for a barb what is the best avoidance radius and hp??

Well, it all depends on your dps/res/hp and so on.
There is no patent on good values. I could post you my fine-tuned Barb settings but they may be horrible for your setup.

Look up the Guide section, pick up a few avoidance values there and experiment. The more time you invest in exploring and fine tuning your bot the better it'll run.
