Tried selling acount and it amazes me...

I put up an account to sell on craigslist that stated local buyers only. And I get 2 inquiries within 10 hours. One just gives AIM/MSN (probably Chinese gold farmer) and the other talks back and forth on emails about the account and then says he wants to buy it. Then asks me where I am, even though the ad clearly stated.. so I told him where I am and where i'd be willing to meet him. He then proceeds to say he's located in California and wants to know how to send payment.

I tell him to send it via moneybookers and he instantly replies that he's been scammed before thru that site and refuses to deal with it. Something about buying an account that had Lvl 85 toons and then when he got the account there were no lvl 85's on it. I'm thinking this guy is wanting to try to scam me. So i told him either moneybookers or western union or no deal.

He then proceeds to say "Well you will send me username and password and then i will send you the money". OH come on are you that STUPID?????

Told him ain't happening...

Are people really that idiotic to fall for stuff like that??? Sheeesh

the second he asked where you where, you should of said something like "I live off of North main, I can meet you at the cyber cafe on Elm" or some thing like that, so you don't get people who aren't local. at least if you sell locally, you can kick their ass if they don't pay. because you can track them down.

Yeah because kicking someones ass over a WoW account is not gonna get you in any worse trouble.

LOL the ad gave the city i am in. I just find it funny how he said I will give him the username and password then he will send the $ LOL ya right.....

I prefer to sell locally unless the person will submit the funds like i request. Have a few people that actually send via Western Union (repeat customers).. trust goes a long ways. Oh well this isn't a normal account to sell anyways as its a play around account (a few maxed toons and such) Just figured I'd give it a shot and see if people were interested.

Anyways back to the grind stone....
