How To: Get The Transfer Option You Want

FYI, I selected to transfer all but top 3 IV. I noticed this was not working and checked the settings file. The transfer strategy was not "5" as it should be. I tried multiple combobox options and watched the strategy in the settings file change to the wrong index.

Workaround:

Step 1: Figure out which setting you want when you are looking at the list. The first option is "0" (Chart below)

Step 2: Close the buddy, and open the cache folder, then open the settings file in notepad.

Step 3: Find the "farmbuddy.bot.transfer.strategy" setting in the file, and change the number to the number you want.

Step 4: Save the settings file the relaunch the buddy.

DO NOT CLICK THE SETTINGS BUTTON AGAIN. IF YOU EVEN LOAD THE SETTINGS MENU, IT WILL REVERT THE CHANGE YOU JUST MADE.

Transfer Options

0 - Keep 1 with Highest CP
1 - Keep 2 with highest CP
2 - Keep 3 with highest CP
3 - Keep 1 with highest IV
4 - Keep 2 with highest IV
5 - Keep 3 with highest IV
6 - Keep 1 of each highest CP/IV
7 - Keep 2 of each highest CP/IV
8 - Keep 3 of each highest CP/IV

Close the buddy, and open the cache folder, then open the settings file in notepad.

Find the "transfer Strategy" setting in the file, and change the number to the number you want.

Save the settings file the relaunch the buddy.

DO NOT TRY TO GO BACK INTO THE TRANSFER MENU. Just trust that it works. If you go back in, you will change the setting again.

I know this has helped many of you so please help keep this thread alive by posting your feedback until the next release (when i am sure it will be fixed)

Actually you can change the via the transfer menu if you chose same options as ericksonm mentioned.

meaning that you can use all the CP options and all of the combined options via the dropdown.

If you take an IV only option it will revert to one of the other options.

what do you mean? xD

What i mean is that you dont have to open the .json file to change transfer protocol.

as long as you take one of the following:

Transfer all, but one of each with highest CP
Transfer all, but two of each with highest CP
Transfer all, but three of each with highest CP
Transfer all, but one of each with highest CP and IV

I have already tested the others. i cant get them to work, not even if i change the .json maunally.

Not only is this not working, but it seems to mess with the Key authentication, I do this, i have to goto the Key site in my browser refresh it, then re-enter the key into the buddy program. Strange it works for you.

Does not work properly, mine was already set at 8 as I did a fresh install.

I had 10 Pideys in my inventory:

Even thought I had Pidyes with Higher CP and Higher IV it still kept these three:
CP: 334 IV: 60
CP: 283 IV: 13,3
CP: 235 IV: 13,3

Be very careful how you use this until a fix is made.
