Today I got banned for hacking without using it!

Yes both on the same account.

2)If so, when was the last time?:
Over the night.

3)What profile were you using?:
Kicks 58-70 profile.

4)What combat class were you using? if None Just put Default then the Classname:
Fpsware Mage

5)What plugins are you using?:
Jumpy, anti-drown.

6)How many hours per day did you bot for?:
Pretty much all the time :rolleyes:

6.5)What honest percentage of time did you supervise your bot?
5-10%

7)How many auctions per day did you have?:
None.

8)Did you Use Any Other Bots, Hacks, or Mods?
Nope.

9)Was your account involved in gold selling?
Nope.

10)EU or US realm?

Hey buddies!

So yeah, I've been using the honorbuddy for some weeks now. I've been farming for minerals, leveling up characters and farming honor etc. And like everyone else here on the forum, I really love it!

So to the point then. I've been using honorbuddy alot lately, I mean.. ALOT. I've pretty much had it running 24/7 the last couple of days, not really beeing afraid of becoming banned or not.

Today when I woke up from having the bot running over the night, I noticed that I got smashed by the banhammer :(. So I went to check my email and this is what I found:

"Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Unauthorized Cheat Programs ("Hacks")

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified using an unauthorized cheat program, also known as a "hack". These programs provide character benefits normally not achievable in the World of Warcraft. Such benefits include, but are not limited to, increased speed, teleportation, or running through walls/boundaries. Use of these unauthorized programs harms the game environment because they offer an unfair advantage over other players and supersede the intended limits of the game.

Even if this behavior is the result of a third party accessing the account instead of the registered user (for example, a friend, family member, or leveling service) then the account can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. So I got banned for hacks, which I've never used :confused:.
I mean I wouldn't blame them for banning me for botting, but for hacks? Come on!;)

Anyway, any thoughts and tips on how to get me out of this?

yeah just got banned for the same reason too!! Warden got updated 2 days ago this is probably why

Nope." this is probably just lie... you need to understand no one will be able to help you if you're not honest.
If you read last ban threads you should know its hacks banwawe, even the reason of your ban is "HACKS" - honorbuddy is bot, not strict a hacks. They give you that reason only when they detect hacks, which they did.

so yes, it means you was using Hack on your account, maybe not recenlty but for sure in last few months.

please, be honest with us.​

Not quite, they also ban botters for "Exploitation of the economy".
 
Ok then.

Is there a way i can find out if a hacked was use? Because i never heard of "snowball" and would like to check waht happened to my account, to prevent future mistakes...
 
I haven't been using any hacks or programs other than honorbuddy, that I can promise you. And why would I lie about using something that is against Blizzards TOA on a forum that is based on something that is against the TOA? That's just rediculous.
 
look its 100% possible,that they didn't do any bannings for the last few days just to do them all at once. just chalk it up to bad luck.
 
Guess you are right m8...i was thinking if this has anything to do with my former use of pirox, b4 moving to HB...

it very well could be, but we aren't blizzard we can only take educated guesses at what the cause of these things are. like i said most likely you got reported somewhere, and they waited till the banwave to get EVERYONE and toss some randomness into the confusion. it sucks that blizzard doesn't love us as much as we love them.

You're probably right.

Do you guys know if they categorize Hacks and Bots as the same thing? On their FAQ they have two different titles, one for Bots and one for Hacks.
And they banned me for using hacks and didn't mention anywere that I had been using a bot.

the bot isnt detected, so most of the time depending on the GM, they classify it as exploiting the economy or 3rd party software.
 
Hmm okey, just doesn't seem like it's fair that one would get banned for something they didn't do. Don't get me wrong, I deserve a ban, but for botting :p
But they are the ones in charge, so now i'll just wait and see :)
 
And then came the banhammer. I just got the word that my account is permanently banned. Hmm, what should I do now that I got so much free time.

Alot of people have been banned for "hacks" through the years of wow, with only using a bot
