What are some tips or guidelines that I can follow to minimize my chances of getting caught by blizzard? If you could elaborate on how blizzard's bot detection system work, that would be great! Thanks!!

Get into botting knowing that your account WILL be banned, it's just a matter of time. DO NOT BOT ON ACCOUNT YOU'RE NOT WILLING TO LOSE.

With that said, don't bot for more than a few hours a day, always monitor your bot, keep your games private, only keep people you trust not to report you on your friends list. Common sense will keep your account unbanned much longer, but at some point you will probably be caught. Blizzard has been extremely lax on banning D3 accounts with the removal of the AH and most of the gear being bind on account there isn't a profit to be made in D3 now. That doesn't mean they aren't watching and there is a great probability there will be ban waves in the future.

First rule about fight club (botting) is you don't talk about fight club (botting)!

I just entered act 3 without completing act 2 with the bot. Will I get caught?

I just entered act 3 without completing act 2 with the bot. I didn't think this would be possible, since there is no way i can manually access ACT3. Will I get caught?

I've been botting 24/7 for about a month now, and no ban. I really doubt they care about bots since there's not even a report option for cheating, just spam, etc.

Man that is some next level paranoia.. That will not get you caught.

You will get banned sooner or later. Just enjoy the ride while it last.

well thats bullshit imho, i'm botting since pirox started and went to hb after priox shutted down and i was NEVER caught. well once... with archeology bot of pirox but it was pretty obvious cuz it used the chat. :D

i run 12-18 hours a day on 2 accounts. at the same time sometimes. same pc same ip everything. They have more to worry about right now then botters.

don't play public games.. don't add people who you don't trust in your friendlist..

24/7 it's not a problem..
play shorts profiles it's not a problem

edit: if you not have any reason.. try to not play more than one game at the same PC.. cuz most of people I read about been banned plays more than 3 acc at the same time.. same internet provider.

Everything in here is speculation. I'll add my own speculation. Botting time means nothing. Account information means nothing. Games per hour means nothing. Bans come from detection and are not done instantly but in large waves. They find a way to detect the bot and let it go on for a few weeks/months then mass ban everything they detected. So bot 24/7 and hope you don't bot in a window of detection (which is pretty rare it seems).
/speculation

i like the way this guy thinks. Its coming, eventually!

DO NOT TELL YOUR FRIENDS OR BE IN A CLAN. I'm pretty sure people are getting banned because other's are reporting them. Leaving bot on 24/7 and people get jealous. Human nature =/

Think about it, a big aspect of the game is linking legs to your mates or as they pop up in clan. If your friend or clan knows then put yourself in their shoes, and you see someone identifying 10 legionaries every morning/night at once, and they are basically saying "suck IT I didn't have to play as long as you, look at my stuff!"

my clan has only 3 members including me and they are all use bot - a clan born with DB bot

I bot 24/7. I lost one account back in late 2012 or early 2013, can't remember. The only reason I lost it is because I started the bot up right after they did some updates or a new patch and it triggered something. Other than that, I bot freely and am definitely not paranoid, especially because this is now a single player game. Blizzard will spend their resources elsewhere.

There is no longer an option to report people for botting. You can't get reported for botting.
