Hi,

I am relatively new to this community and haven't dared bot overseas yet to get the regional exclusives. I'm concerned that by doing so my Auzzie IP/computer might get pinged in some way. I'm aware that I should wait some time before 'teleporting' my account to my overseas botting location but is there anything else I should do? Do I need a VPN or can I just bot from my computer as usual? Can I still use the 'best latency' setting or should I choose the server from the region im botting in? Also, does anyone have any sweet locations for farfetched/taurus/mr mime spawns?.

Cheers in advance lads!

Use a VPN for the area you wish to bot in and leave plenty of travel time between locations. Personally I'd never use my main abroad under any circumstances. The regional Pokemon are cack anyway.

Any time you "travel" overseas to catch regional pokemons you will be putting your account in risk of getting investigated for cheating. Say you catch a nice 2,000 CP Taurus and brag about it in your local aussie gyms. People will be suspicious and report you to Niantic. If Niantic looks into your account they will be doing what is called a heuristic analysis on your account. They could analyze things like, How many pokemons you catch per day, how fast between catches. Matching IP with Location of where pokemon was caught. Since Niantic has implemented gotcha for detecting bots, they no longer do these things manually but gotcha takes care of the majority of bots and pokemon detectors who are behind on their API updates or do very frequent teleports. I'd say if you are going to risk doing an 'all around the world' virtual tour on your main account take all of these things in consideration before committing to it. Plenty of travel time between regions, stay several days in those regions to catch plenty of candies for future power ups. Use a VPN service that uses an IP similar to the same country you are visiting and hiding you're real IP. In case things go kapoots Niantic doesnt have a way to trace back other personal accounts. Niantic could take weeks before deciding to ban your account after someone reports it as suspicious. Bans never come right immediately after you cheated. For mr mime and taurus spawns you can view the pokemons in poke huntr website real time. You can use the website to direct your avatar to those locations. New York or California have plenty of spawnings for Taurus, Paris or London for Mr. Mime. For farfetch'd I'm still looking for a sweet spot, Japan could be a nice place.

Cheers mait ;)

Location: Miyagi, Tohoku, Japan (UTC+9 Time Zone)
Latitude: 38.4347
Longitude: 141.304
Altitude: 15
Radius: 200 metres = 19 Pokestops within radius

No guarantee on how many Farfetch'd an hour, but if you set up here, you will catch them.

SOunds right. That's where I caught my 30+ lapras lol.

Awesome thanks for the tips people. I was hoping to fill my pokedex on my main account but as people have suggested its probably not worth the risk given they're so trash anyway :/

Thanks. I just found one but I expanded the radius.

Use a throwaway account. It might become your main account in the future. Who knows.

I've been using a VPN for my overseas travels. I've been to Japan, the default Germany, as well as France. Caught my first Mr Mime under the 'la tour Eiffel.' My Japanese visits have yet to yield anything, was thinking about jumping over to S. Korea since they're neighbors. I have 3 virtual machines on my computer so I don't confuse one account with the next and get banned for accidentally logging into the wrong country with the wrong account.

*IF* they ever allow trading, I'm set.
