Tiny Play Screen = ban?

So I found a way to boost my Warspire (busy Horde city next to Ashran) FPS 250% from 30 to 80 by reducing my viewable screen size. The screen is so ludicrously small right now that no human could possibly play with it.

1) Can Blizz monitor my screen size?
2) Does Blizz monitor my screen size?
3) Would Blizz ban me because of my screen size?

Blizzard doesn't monitor screen size, and I doubt they could or would care to. If they do ban you it won't be because of your screen size. That would be ludicrous. They would ban you for botting. Which is what I assume you are doing since that is what these forums are for.

Yep, totally caught me. BlizzarX employee of the month trolling through forums. Or, we can assume logically that resolution/screen size has no bearing on anything. Also riddle me how they would track your screen size or determine that you're doing something against their ToS based on that screen size? If they can track your screen size then they most likely can track that you're doing something you're not supposed to be. But you are more than welcome to prove me wrong. If you get banned and your email says "banned for screen size"and not "banned for use of third party software" we can totally call it a smoking gun and I'll admit that I'm not only a BlizzarX employee but eat a healthy side of crow along with it.

I used to multibox a lot back in WotLK, had 4 small windows (lowest resolution) and one bigger. Never got banned for that, nor for the multiboxing even though it was quite obvious I was using 3rd party software to replicate actions to the other 4 characters. It was fun.

blizzard tracks more than you think.
an example: play a charakter and set your action bars. you would think your personal action bar is a local thing. on your computer. same as the screen resolution. now make an experiment. go to a new computer, install a fresh wow, and log in with your charakter. amazingly screenresolution is reset to standard, but you still have your action bars. so action bars are not a local thing, they are server saved.
so why should they not monitor your screen resolution.
why should they not make a cross query :if spell xyz is used more than 100 times per minute and spell is not in action bar.
there are milion ways to detect bots.
if you are on the radar, they will track you in any possible way.

If they cared this much, they could catch the Grim Batol bot army in minutes, instead they last days. Monitoring tiny details like this for millions of users would cost a huge amount of CPU time and therefore money. Not really worth it. There might be some light autoban scripts for dungeon resets/day or extended 24/7 playtime etc., but nothing this detailed.

1) Yes, they know what graphic setup you are using. If you have technical issues with the game and get in touch with a GM, he can definately check your current setup. One time he told me to change some grapic stuff from my current setting to another. And he knew my current setting
2) They might log it, but as far as I know they won`t do anything with this data. Maybe for statistic use or something
3) I don`t think so. There are much easyer ways to detect a bot on your system.

And keep in mind... Multziboxing is totally legal according to blizz and a multiboxer also uses tiny screens.

That's because when you open a ticket the first thing they tell you to do is run a diagnostic program and upload the result. That's where they get their info.
Your local graphics settings aren't stored on the server, as proven by CG a couple of posts back. If your bar settings are restored when you log in, why not your graphics settings?

the reason could be that screen settings are primary saved in the config.wtf. it is loaded before you are connected to the server. maybe last screen resolution is tracked by server too. who knows? i do't know for sure. everything about bans, really everything is pure speculation. sometimes i think not even blizzard knows what and when to ban ^^

Just calm and relax! Its good to be paranoid with the botting, but even the paranoia have some common sense borders!

Blizzard could track millions of stuff from your game client, but indeed they do actually track only several, simply because they have 8 millions of game clients to take care of ... easy as that.
