Well, Everyone who is in the gold selling scene right now will agree that it's crashing harder than ever before, It seems the wait for cata screwed us all over and the genius's were wrong.

I am ready to quit as I have just had enough of the chinese laughing in my face at offering me $0.5/k (I do not sell 30k a time, it is pointless with a risk of ban so please do not point me to that reseller beginning with a P)

It is the same everywhere, every single reseller I have.
I also made the mistake thinking I would have quite a bit of extra cash this month to spend on xmas, my girlfriend and ill mother are going to not have much, oh well It's my fault for promising thing's, guess I've learnt my lesson there, never promise gifts unless you have the money in your hands.

Oh and screw private buyers, I refuse to get into that side of things with risks of scams and chargebacks, I would rather take $0.5/k than be in the minus's in paypal and be really and truly fucked.

Is it time to quit? Is gold selling about to die a horrible death?

Your thought's please.
 
Gold selling has been in the pits for awhile. I quit selling about 8 months ago when prices dropped under 2$/k.

I did expect demand to go up with cata but "most" of mats people want are still so high priced that it equals alot of RL cash to get the gold you need.... Cash people don't have with xmas right around the corner.

I'm sure once things get stable after xmas demand/prices might go up some but who knows. Seems gold will flow in cata.
 
Opinion: if you are rolling sub 6 bots and dont use private buyers then well its kind of tough right now. I mostly just bot for myself and my guild but the roomates make about 5-6 a k to private buyers. They got scammed twice while looking for private buyers. Lost probably around 60k gold. With that being said they found about a dozen good buyers and they get atleast a 25k order at 5 bucks a k a week from them sometimes 3 orders.

So its all in how you slice it man.
 
Selling to sites got worst now. Can it be even lower?

Private buyers are like 1 in 10000 on my servers, can't seem to find one. FML
 
I am getting 2 dollars per k from same company I been selling to for over a year now. I won't give out the name but It is out there..... its a very popular buyer also. Gold selling is not dead at all.. and I think a lot of people would agree with me. sounds like you just don't know what your doing
 
lol they always say wont give out the name when they make more per k then the avg cause that is bs :D
 
I have given up on making a major profit on gold, and have let most of my accts go dormant.

I only have 4 active atm. 3 on one server (2 farmers, 1 main) The 2 farmers support my Mains, and my raiding guild, and I have 2 regular Private buyers. One buying at $4/k and a RL Friend buying at $2/k.

And a farmer on another server to supply one private buyer $5/k. This guy doesn't buy much at a time, but he's a faithful buyer, so i stayed active for him. He pays for the acct, and My car insurance. hehe.

US and EU.
US getting owned hard right now, shocking as it used to be a shit load better than EU realms.
Guess demand and everyone's willingness to sell gold is starting to take it's toll.

I been selling good at $0.7/k and loving it, herbs and ores are now 30g/stack to 50g/stack on high pop. servers but the price to sell gold is still good, just a little under $1 per k is fine, heck I'll live with $0.3/k which is still cool.
