Hi there folks,

Since I am new here a very short intro! My alias is rock and I'm a long time EU player. After buying some guild (private) a couple of times I started thinking about collecting my own gold! I got two accounts with 80's on it.

Yesterday I bought GB and absolutely love it, just a little scared at the start, so I don't run it for longer that 3-4 hours unless I am playing on the computer next to it.

What I'd love to know, with the gold coming in how do you expand your business. (please note, not where, but how!).
I mailed about 5-6 reseller websites after reading their reviews with the question if they are interested in doing long-term business, but received only one reply that they are currently not interested in buying gold.

How did you meet up with your partners? By just being persistant and keep trying? Adding goldsellers to msn and try to sell to them?

I'd be really interested in how you build the relationship!

you didnt pick the best moment to start up, it's not that easy to sell your gold now, unless you have private buyers or some connections.
 
There are several places still that almost always buys but their prices are like 2$ / k now...
 
Make a vanilla account, then go ask people if they want to buy. Ask for their MSN or something.

I'm planning to use or/and stack up for cataclysm to whatever I don't sell :)

  • Google "wow gold" and filter out those who only sell.
  • Check forums for suggested gold buying sites that have good reputation.
  • Register your servers on Offgamers.com and get automatic update wenever they need gold (you need to be fast, most if not all servers are beeing supplied to within minutes)

Right now Im @ 100k on a server, will make a guild and sell it with the gold to highest bidder. If I get problems with this Im seriously thinking of selling my 8 accounts for 170$ each and just buy new accounts to lvl /gear up, or throw my computer out of the window :)

But as more than me have stated here, you earn more cash by sitting on the street begging for money, and you will earn atleast 10 times more/hr :)
 
The how is a pretty good question.
I worte some mails too but no aswer yet o.o
 
Unless you're in need of RL cash, just gather alot of gold on alot of servers and wait till a few weeks before Cataclysm releases, demand will go very high.

This happened when BC was released, also happened with WoKL was released...
Of course a couple weeks later when everyone found out it was stuiped how easy gold was to make, BAM price drop!

Don't place your wager on that though, there's a hell of a lot more knowledge and gold sellers (not farmers) then there was back in BC and when WOTLK was just released.
 
Well we can hope that there will be alot of money sinks in Cata...and by this I mean stuff like the Motorcycles, the Travelers Tundra Mammoth, bigger bags...or just some stupid expensive things that stupid people will buy.

Just wait and see :).

Also from what we see now...alot of people will not wait till Cata hits and they will drop botting//gold farming alltogather.
Making real life cash with bots is a side-effect a very big one.
It has been said...don't make a living out of botting or selling virtual goods cuz you might soon find yourself out of work :).
 
There's nothing to lose by waiting, why sell at lowest when you can sell at highest? It's like these noobs underpricing AH . I just don't get why .
