Sorry, I have to post this now - as over the last months it feels like this takes overhand.

It really sucks that people around here dont appreciate the hard work and foremost TIME it takes to code plugins, profiles and the stuff you all "need".

Everywhere I look here in different threads (suramar quest line, world quests, free plugins...) I could ragepost because of some retards who only know two words "gimme more" even though its free and it could be fixed just by reading the threads.
But reading takes time, and many here just want to get something in little time with no effort.

For me, some months ago I had no idea of C# - no idea how to code plugins, profiles whatever. But instead of begging around I bought some books and learned myself C# coding.
In the end I provided 3 useful plugins and 1 CR to the community for free - but what happens? I even get some complaint that I ask for a little donation for the time coding it.

My motivation is below the sink and I will stop for now sharing any plugins/CRs I code.

Disclaimer: English is not my motherlanguage so ignore any mistakes. Second: The only reason I post this, is my hope to the people out here to wake up and maybe think about what they say and ask for,
and that it is not only about "getting" its also about "giving".

Cheers.

This. And the million questions about "is this safe", "is that safe", "will I get banned" drive me bonkers too.

I can agree with you on hard work paxx, but all the hard work isn't going to amount to a hill of beans if your product sucks.
I've paid for several already, and was seriously disappointed. But there are others that totally made up for it. And I would trust that developer because they are consistent and have a reputation.

i did a search for 'paxx' and only one plugin came up. what were some of your other offerings?
i just came back and i guess i missed them. and since they dont come up on the search, im curious.

So you're offering everyone here to learn C#? Might as well code the bot ourselves then, why pay for it. Genius.

Being a Dev, can't you put plugins and rotations in the store to sell instead of having a donation link?

but I dont want to justify anything, and as I said - it is an issue here generally about the behaviour of the people - and I am happy that I am not the only one who thinks so - big thumps up @Tony!

ewww hunter. hehe.. jk.
i dont farm much anymore, well, not at all, so the mail one is pretty moot for me
but the anti-pvp plugin looks interesting. id give it a shot but honestly i would be one of those 'download and use it once or twice' users.
as for donating, i donate pretty frequently to devs i have confidence in, or show promise. ive had my wow account up for 5 days and already threw $30 to a couple of developers. $15 for a profile pack im not even going to use for another month or so.

its not an issue of 'hey, i love to leech so im going to get all the free stuff i can', its more of a 'its a community and this guy is doing cool stuff, so let me try it' thing.

i just dont see this community as one that a part-time developer can expect to make a steady income from. code because its fun, develop products cause you enjoy it, the money comes last.

when your products have a name associated with them that has been around, has some weight to it, has a presence here in the community, then, and only then, think about the donations. someone with 4 products to offer has a great start, and is valuable to the community, but its just that, a start.

well, you misunderstood some point - I dont expect a donation - if I really depend on making money, I would distribute through the store.
i just wanted to point on the behaviour generally at the moment here, thats why I mentioned some threads above, too...
But of course it makes me feel sad when you got around 500+ downloads on your plugins/CRs and not a single person donated and appreciated your work / its just an attitude.

btw: IssueMailer is also nice to use during WorldQuests afk'ing ;) if you play WoW - you do WQs - so the two plugins will be very handy for you.

i just hit 105 a couple hours ago, but ill check out your mailer soon.

and just because you dont get donations, doesnt mean you aren't appreciated. i bet there are many out there that appreciate your work but just can't afford to give, or just dont know what it would mean to you to get that donation.
