I dont write code or know anything about it, but i was wondering....what is the expected down time of GB when cat goes live?

It will be ready when its ready. It could be 1-X days of downtime.

Nobody likes a dick. I am aware it will be ready when its ready. A simple don't know would have been sufficient.
 
This has been answered numerous times in the past, They get sick of answering it numerous times.
 
it was over a week for 4.0.1 and cat should be a lot easier since most of the big changes to wow already happened outland and northrend will be the same the big change will be the mesh work that will need to be done hope that devs are creating mesh's from bata if they can

That is understandable, however I searched and nothing. Also I am new to the community and haven't seen anything on it lately. Not to mention a paying customer, do I not have the right to ask?

No, but really? It will be ready when it's ready. Depending on how much change is needed we wont know till it hits. So you stop being a dick and learn to use the search function.
 
easier and lighter program like gb probably will suffer less downtime, as experienced from the recent 4.01 patch, GB was down for few days (3 i think if i'm not mistaken)
so if there is no exception or no surprises, GB most probably be down for few days

heavier and more complicated application like HB bound to be down for longer time, again, this is based on previous experience from the 4.01patch. It took them around 3weeks to publish the [Release] version. (though the [Test] HB was available a week earlier than the [Release])
so, your best guess it will take some days for HB.

hope this answered your curiosity... if you be in the mods/admins/devs shoes, you know you dont like to give promises you can't keep or reply any questions that has vague answers. Really, theres just too much variable in this case.

It really doesn't matter when HB is ready. Because you can't run HB very well without updated profiles.

The Buddyteam only sell the GB/HB , not the profiles, and the questions is "whats the expected downtime for gb/hb?" , but, meh~ enough said~
 
I lol'd at him calling fps a dick. As for it being ready.. why don't you call blizzard and ask them what their codez will be like when it goes live hmm?

it could be 2 hours, it could be 2 days or 2 weeks, the devs don't know until cata hits due to offsets and anything else blizzard may throw at them.

you may have paid for a product but IT DOES NOT GIVE YOU THE RIGHT TO A DOUCHEBAG.
