***Notice of Account Closure***

Account Name: WOW1

Reason for Closure: Terms of Use Violation -- Exploitative Activity: Abuse of the Economy

This account was closed because one or more characters were identified exchanging, or contributing to the exchange of, in-game property (items or gold) for "real-world" currency. This exchange process negatively impacts the World of Warcraft game environment by detracting from the value of the in-game economy.

Even if this is the result of account sharing, the account owner can still be held responsible for the penalty because of the impact it had on the game environment.

We've found the above behavior is many times directly related to groups responsible for compromising World of Warcraft accounts; we take these issues very seriously. To better understand our position against exploitative activity and the risks involved, please review this article: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article.xml?locale=en_US&articleId=25455

The exploitative activity that took place on this account violates the World of Warcraft Terms of Use. We ask you take a moment to review these terms at http://us.blizzard.com/company/legal/index.html. Note that additional Terms of Use violations may result in more severe actions against this account, up to and including permanent closure.

If you believe your account was compromised, please submit an in-game petition or fill the contact email form at http://us.blizzard.com/support/webform.xml?locale=en_US. Our support staff will assist you as soon as possible. If you are unable to access your account due to the password being changed, please visit our Login Support site here: https://us.battle.net/account/support/password-reset.html

For any disputes of this action or further information on Exploitive Activity, please visit the Exploitative Activity FAQ and contact page here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/exploitfaq

Just had five banned too, three were accounts I just started too.

I'm calling them now. This has to be a ban wave...lol

I didn't even get a suspension, just a perma ban. He said he would put in ticket.

I got exactly the same thing last night. Hadn't even been botting... was doing some farming, while using lazy raider... I was in front of the pc the whole time.
We'll see what happens... I suppose on the bright side... if I do lose the account permanently, maybe I'll get some stuff done in RL! ;)

I got 4 out of five unbanned, yeesh. Sucks cause they're still going to watch, but yeha lot of them didnt even get suspensions. It's like they dont even bother now. One of them I have to send in an ID, /shrug. I posted tickets on all of them, I havent sold gold any of these accounts so it wasnt for that.

Called them up and said I wasn't selling/buying gold

Well that makes me nervous.. I only use LazyRaider on my main account, don't do any type of farming on it. Original account from 05, would hate to lose it. But i've been spoiled!

Well, to recap what the guy on the phone said, "you were auto banned." I was doing dungeons with my guild members doing the guild challenges. There were 3 of us. After each challenge the guild gets 125g, so what I was doing was splitting the 125 up between us and sending in the mail after each dungeon. I think that triggered the economy ban because I was sending people gold so much(purely hypothesis). 5 times mailing 3 different people gold, and on the 6th dungeon I get banned mid way through.

Again, this is just my hypothesis. Comments welcomed.

I got my account unbanned as well. Sent an email, explained I didn't understand why, hadn't abused the economy or sold any gold... got a long response back with mentions of
hacks/bots in it, standard thing, and they unlocked it. I'll not bot on this account again... Have WAY too much time invested in it...

Got E-Mail to change my Password, no suspention or ban, just to change my PW... never got an e-mail like this before...

It's all luck of the draw, out of 5 unbanned, the one that wasnt had been banned twice already. One was compromised, two were given a second chance, and the other one was compromised which was on same account as the two second chance ones, so now they're all compromised, so basically 4/5 got compromised and I have to call up for them, gg proxies/vm. I'm considering doing an account recovery on the banned one but always risk getting asked for an ID which is a PITA.

I'm still trying to figure out what I'm doing is triggering them, are there really people doing 20+ hours a day? I split all my auction toons on a per account basis so I dont link any accounts (except the 3 that are on the .net) and they all have different VM's and proxies (and computers sometimes, I have four comps). I think it must be play time, I was doing 12 hours/day on the previously banned ones and got a little cocky and boom banned. The new ones I did probably 20/day and they got nailed..

So I'm thinking its the playtime, just starting to seem impossible to make anymore money. I'm sure farming in twilight highlands isnt helping either but where else is there to go ;p I do hyjal too

I too was banned the other day for the same thing. I just emailed them and they removed the ban right away.

For this reason anytime I send gold to another player, be it a friend or a guildy, I always type out a message saying why I sent them the gold (i.e. for gear upgrade, repairs, flying, etc.). I will also wsp them and give a message as well if they are online. I am a firm believe that, in a review, these things will help get your account back. Now I do this a lot with transfers of between 100g and 10000g. I do not transfer gold to any toons but my own in higher amounts and I never sell gold...just spread the wealth a bit. An auto ban or auto suspension is just that, automatic. The computer makes a judgment call. However, a real person has to make the final decision so long as you contest the suspension/ban and that is where all the records of your account come into play. All just opinion of course.

Yeah, all mine were auto banned. The only one that is staying banned for now got a reply of "unauthorized ***** programs" so I'm guessing they did it by the playtime, but who knows. If the other 2 accounts get hit again on the same .net I'll probably account recover them all back
