Currently I am running 6 diablo bots that bring in about $5 USD/day for each bot with about 1.5hrs of work on the auction house total per day. I was thinking about switching to wow since the diablo market is just getting progressively worse, but I wanted to get an idea of how much work/profit I can expect. I would probably run 5/6 bots.

You can ofcourse get way more then 30$ a day, but WoW is just the same process, just another "game". U will have to find yourself some stable buyer.
As you seem to have no chars yet, it will take you some time to get your account ready to farm for you and actually make you get gold which u can sell.
There is a nice guide for you if you decide to try it, and It requires atleast Four accounts per realm to make it steady and smooth
2 gatherer accounts Mists of Pandaria required for gathering
1 shuffler account Mists of Pandaria required for recipes
1 AHBuddy account Lowest expansion possible, WoTLK
To make some nice profit per realm, you can ofcourse run more, but depends on what server u are on. Just check how the goldprices for the High/mid/low populated realm is.
Normall it is easier to controll the AH if you are on a low pop realm. Which makes you get way more profit. But also makes the gold harder to sell since on low poped realms ppl dont buy as much gold as on a higher populated one.
