Thinking about purchasing but....

I was thinking about purchasing RB but I recently talked to a GM to get my account back after having forgotten the username and password. Do people like me get flagged? When I got it back it I got an email saying:

This has absolutely NOTHING to do with botting at all, your account may have been hacked in the past, or you logged in from an unknown ip address. Just change your password and you are all set. As long as you don't do anything stupidly obvious, you shouldn't get suspended.

I get a message like this every time I log in with a different IP.

Hell, I get a message like this whenever I use my 3G, even if I use the same dongle the last time I went on. You could also get the One-Time password, it'll stop these e-mails and you should have one anyway. Plus you get a free teleport.

no one can say for sure. I know if you were nailed for botting in the past, its likely your flagged for a short time. Even without the flagging, if your account means much to you... only you can decide if the risk is worth it. I will say that if your reckless, the ffxiv community is pretty aggressive towards rooting out automation.

To be fair, wildstar is worse

To be even fairer, it is dozens of times of times more prevalent in wow but dozens of times easier to get away w/ it seems lol.

Dude, this is just for logging in somewhere else, I get this all the time.

Protip: Use the One-time Password App, it gives you a free teleport zone and they stop requiring this if you need to log-in from somewhere else.
