So I get everything rolling today with some mining in Uldum, when I step away to get a drink come back to see that I am in a caravan of botters. Approximately 10 of use in a row following the exact same path. I really think that we need to be a little more mindful. Another amusing bit is when opposite faction Botter is somehow flagged pvp then decides to set the bot to mining. I was getting free honor for a week.

This is just one more reason to make sure that in a popular place (like Uldum), you should be creating custom profiles for things like gathering...

QFT, I use routes and gathermate2 for my profiles, it works great, also I can set it just for sertan nodes to by doing that. ^.^

Mindful? Who exactly should be the one being mindful here? If you are thinking that people should be mindful to you, what makes you so special over everyone else? Should everyone stop botting and allow you to run your routes? Should you stop to let everyone else continue on?

I can almost guarantee that at least 75% of those bots were running unattended and probably had no idea that 10 people were following the exact same route. If you're running a default profile, may as well get used to some competition.

The only real solution you have is to either create your own profile, move to a different zone or go do something else.

I agree, Routes is a great addon with RoutesBuddy plugin. But you still end up with a bunch of people having the same route. I am also taking the approach of using less popular routes I think. I might start farming lower level stuff from LK even some crafting mats common for leveling rare in the AH.

Actually I don't call it name calling when you are calling it how you honestly see it. Just because you give the definition of a term instead of the term doesn't make you the better person. You would rather use a sentence to insult and to insinuate, when I can sum you up in a couple words. Now move a long, stop trolling.

There's not a lot that can be done when anybody with a WoW account can use HB for nothing. If I fault the devs for anything, I fault them for not resolving this problem.

And this is why I have been making my own private profiles for 2 years now. The only I have ever gotten was using that hunk of shit AIO bot for a video. But yea, make you own profiles. Super easy till you get to making questing.

an unfortunate side effect of just how popular HB is. I ran BG bot a couple times in AV and discovered several other players running the same exact points, switched to woots, and lo and behold same thing lol. I think a lot of people are looking for a "plug and play" bot and the more popular HB becomes the more unlikely that is with some profiles and necessitates customs.

Most people whom use a bot won't make a profile, or monitor their bot's activity. Whether it's ignorance or that they just don't care, that has been the behavior of the average bot user since the beginning. Using a custom class, a custom profile, and monitoring your bot for at least the first few rounds helps to eliminate issues.
