There really seems to be a lot of bans going around

On top of running my own bot I've also made a whole lot of money over the past month primarily buying up cheap GF gear and reselling it at a profit. And without ruining my own business I can say that I've had multiple markets where I knew I could find and resell multiple cheap items on a daily basis with around a 500k profit per item. And just doing a few searches per day would net me around a ~8-16m daily profit.

Anyhow, over the past few days I've noticed a huge price drop in my market niches. And where items would sell for 1,2-1,7m a week ago the general price on many of them seems to have dropped to around 500k now. It almost seems people have either stopped gearing up their bots, left game or gotten banned.

I know this isn't an accurate science but I still find it very weird how fast prices have dropped and how much slower the markets are moving.

I'd bet a huge % of those banned will stop botting now and move on to another game. It's a good thing for people who're here for the long run.

I would have to disagree with Bans being the cause of what OP is seeing.

Its every market on items that is not selling as much. It is not just your gold find market.

I did the same thing as you, I searched 10+ various search types of specific items and bought low sold high ALL DAY LONG. I had 3 markets I was doing where I could buy an item for 50k on GAH and sell for 2dollars on RMAH ALL DAY LONG. I had 2 tabs full of gear to sell at any time and was only limited by RMAH 10 item limit.
Buy low and flip. All day long. Was making a killing on top of bot profit.

All of my markets have died. I was making $75 a day flipping items outside of botted stuff. That has dropped to $5-10 a day in the same markets. The items to purchase are still there at the same prices. Its just no one is there to buy them.

The players are gone.
I started playing this game with a few core group of friends and a handful of other friends that were all enjoying the shit out of it. (10 people or so, many of them spending money on the RMAH to gear.)
I am the only one left playing, and all I do is farm goblins in Act 2 inferno and bot. Its not even playing anymore.

^^^^ Yup.

I had 2-3 niches that I used to use to flip Gold AH --> RMAH.

Now, either the items need to have higher stats for me to sell at the same $ ..OR..
the items need to be priced lower, with the same stats as before.

Now where are all those people who reckon gear prices are INCREASING?

You will notice that a lot of people have stopped playing, so there isn't as many buyers. Don't forget to include this in your analyses. ;)

Also, there are a lot of decent items now on the market; since 1.0.3 release... you might be getting undercut a lot. With this BS AH, where you can't cancel items to relist at lower price (or for whatever reason), it forces you to allow others to under cut you all of the time. It is horrible.

My group, 18 peeps, ex WoW guild, started on release of D3, now there are just 3 of us. All botting, buying on the GAH and selling on the RMAH, and those that have left are highly unlikely to come back. Some said they may try the PvP but, they have all gone over to GW2 and enjoying that. I've not tried GW2 yet, thoroughly enjoying Eve online again :) Not botting it, just going on hunter killer missions.

They can't be enjoying GW2 its not out yet :) GW2 will be the same thing and I guarantee 50% of the people who play it from day 1 will quit within 45 days its just the nature of games now days everyone wants to play the new thing.
