The Risk: Main Gbank and lvl 1 movers

I've read a number of guides and howto here on the forums. Much of it is geared to people who want to sell gold, which is perfect. I, however, just want to bring in 100-200k for vanity items and whatnot on my main account. How safe is the following.

1. Main Account (never bot on this... ever)

2. Secondary accounts - Different name, address, timecards, etc, etc. Different computer. Only thing that could connect the two would be IP addresses.


So when I bot and sell items, I move the gold or valuables to a lvl 1 toon on my Secondardy (botting) account. I have that lvl 1 join a guild with my main account, drop in the items or gold. Then gquit the lvl 1, then delete the lvl 1. Go about my business again.

In the gbank logs it shows up as only "Unknown" - I assume because the character is deleted. Would this method I described by moderately safe for botting?

lol for "vanity items" etc.. i just bot on my main.. and sell things at the AH from my main.. few days you will have 10k gold in there no probs (just dont be stupid about it.. eg dont go bot titanium or whatever and post 20 stacks of it at the same time in the AH)



BTW i HIGHLY doubt that blizzard bother with IP addys ..

Also keep in mind that blizzard logs EVERYTHING. Dont think that when you delete your level 1 toon, it will automatically update the logs to "Unknown". Your toons name will be stored for ever as being created on X and Y, deleted on X Y, etc. So I'm not sure how "safe" this makes things. Personally I think it just raises more flags.

but almost everyone does lol some get suspended some dont same with nething else. What im thinking is players report u for botting or flooding ah or you sold gold to a flagged account or an account that is now flagged who then back tracked all traces of that account which lead to your account.

At least this is what happen to me. my main was the only one who sold gold, my other 2 new accounts got hit because they was using same IP as mine and botting at the same time lol

In other posts that I've seen - I noticed suggestions where you sell gold with vanilla accounts. I assume it is either for less loss (just a vanilla key when banned) or the account lacks certain reporting features.

I'm confused why it is so often suggested to use the gbank rather than trades. We know that gbanks leave a log, its pretty obvious, but what about trading?

I see a lot of people either giving caution or loose suggestions, but not a well defined best practices

PARANOID, do you honestly think Blizz have the server space to log every chat, every whisper, every mail transaction, every AH transaction etc. Don't be stupid. 1mill players online at any one time ??

Exactly what theatristformally said. They would need tons of dual tera byte servers and take weeks on end to go through chat logs lol. The logs get erased after x ammount of days. Same as level one toons get erased even after u delete them after you sell gold with one. They prolly get deleted from there logs after a few days of being deleted and inactivity.

i tried to get a old char back wich was erased no way to get it back for a while they log and restore it ... but if u take a break and get hacked or smth ... there is no way after x days to restore datas

I sold over mil gold last week from a vanilla, and half of it was from them joining my guild and taking it out, rest was f2f. The vanilla was open for 3 days lol.
