Hello fellow botters,
I'm MDurner11 (obviously) and I was lucky enough to be chosen to help fpsware further develop and polish his beautiful CC.
Although this is technically considered a CC, by all means is it UNLIKE ANY OTHER CC you have used. It truly is a revolutionary, and brilliant approach that will improve Honorbuddy's ease of usage and performance exponentially. You can tell the months (over 300 hours of development already) of work put into this code, and how dedicated fpsware is to making it THE BEST CC possible.
When I first met with fps to discuss the basics behind the use of "The One" he explained how most of the testers have been favoring testing Mages, Paladins, and Hunters. While I initially really wanted to work with him on Hunters, I understood that my efforts could be of more use elsewhere. And so, I have taken on the task of helping him improve the Warlock aspect of "The One".
About 24 hours ago, I began using "The One" with my 36 Gnome Affliction Warlock. It worked substantially well, already giving me an increased exp/hr than what I was currently getting with other Warlock CCs (no offense intended to other Warlock CCs or their authors). Even though there was an already improvement, neither I nor fpsware were quite content with it. And so, I kept a running list of possible improvements, and we have bounced ideas off of each other.
As you can see from the "UI sneak peak" thread, there are SO many variables that you can control, and fps is even adding MORE variables to control as I type this! From my understanding, the way he has the CC setup is based around a "core" code, and so the implementation of a new spell literally takes less than 30 seconds! This is amazing to me, and shows just how advanced this CC is compared to others that have been released before.
Not only is this a class specific CC, but there are also many aspects of it which you control ALL your characters. Some of these features have NEVER even been considered before with the use of HB. Simply put, some plugins may not even be necessary, because "The One" completes the task even better than a plugin would.
Currently, my warlock is level 40, and will be changing to the Beta2 tonight. I'm extremely excited to see how all the improvements fps has included will work out.
I hope to keep everyone up to date on how the developing goes, and although I can't give specific details just yet, just know that all the hype and anticipation behind this CC's release is deserved!
