The HTTP connection failed!

I just bought Honor Buddy and I am getting the error Authenticating..
The HTTP connection failed! Are you sure you are connected to the internet?
My time and date are correct and my firewalls/anti virus all disabled. My Debug log shows [9:56:18 PM:312] only. I am using version 1.9.5.8. Won't work with test info or my info. Also another person in the same household is able to log in with their information on their cpu and my information on their cpu. Any ideas?
 
disable your firewall/antivirus and try again
 
I do not have antivirus currently installed and my firewall is disabled through windows.
 
I am getting the same error. Honorbuddy was working about a week and a half ago, and now I get this error. I already tried running Honorbuddy with my firewall disabled, but it still asks me if I am connected to the Internet. The error message is as follows:
"Authenticating..
The HTTP connection failed! Are you sure you are connected to the internet?
"

Furthermore, I tried the latest Honorbuddy version 1.9.5.8 and it did not change a thing. I also read the other thread in which the date on the computer was wrong, and that apparently fixed the same problem for someone else, but my date and time are correct. I will post the thread link as reference on the bottom. If someone has encountered this problem and has a possible solution, I would greatly appreciate it.

try stopping the windows firewall service from Control Panel > Administration Tools > Services > Windows Firewall

make sure that window's built in wo\indows is disabled and also disable your antivirus
do you have a proxy or something?
 
Hi, I do not use a proxy and I already tried running Honorbuddy with my firewall and my anti-virus software disabled. I still cannot get it to work and the error message remains the same. I even reset my IE settings, but no luck.
 
have you checked your pc for virus etc?
(i cant think something else!)
 
Hi, I finally figured out what made it work. My computer has two methods to connect to the internet, wirelessly using the wireless card, and through an ethernet cable. I usually keep my wireless card turned off because I figure my ethernet connection is faster and more reliable. Anyways, I connected wirelessly to my router and I unplugged the ethernet cable from my computer, then tried Honorbuddy, and it actually worked! :) Thankyou for trying to help me with this issue. Hope this helps someone if anyone ever comes across this issue. Best reguards, gman21

I don't have a software firewall, only a router that does NAT. (everything worked before)

I don't have a virus scanner
what ssl certificate are you talking about, my system clock is correct !

what do I need to do to fix this, please ??

Same for me.

I've disabled the firewall, shut down the AV and my date/time is correct. It worked for a few minutes after Boss brought the AUTH server back online. But it quit working a few minutes ago.
