The current state of the bot.

I have tested this bot for about a day. I know it is not very long time. I have tried some diffrent decks. I've tried rush hunter, shaman and mech mage, and trying out a more controll Druid atm.

As of right now the AI is not very good. It does weird plays, miss uses cards(keeper of the groove + more), it cant see what its playing against (eg. freeze mage, controll warrior etc.)

And to get the bot to play control or rush you have DefaultRoutine.cs in notepad. There should really be an option in the bot where you could change it!

Is this going to get any better? I am an old user of Hearthcrawler, and that bot could get you Legendary, I got to rank 8 (but it could easy get you to rank 5+)

I am a happy user of HB, EB and DB which all are amazing!!! But this one lacks a lot still

Well said. Given the stability of the current version, there are still bugs to be fixed. I never had much trouble with it until this current version where it just stops playing.

As an aside I just want to say that it took the guys at IBM around 10 years to get Deep Blue to beat Gary Kasparov in chess, and chess is completely deterministic with an opening that does not change. HS has a ton of rng, and a lot of different decks that can be played.

Lol comparing the complexity of chess to hearthstone, you have to be kidding.

I haven't had any problems with this version of the bot. I'm pretty sure there were only a few decks Hearthcrawler could get to legend with (I was only familiar with Zoo and Seagiant Shaman), and UAI/silverfish is the same AI being used in HSB, so it could have just been that those decks naturally worked well against the meta at the time. Bugs will be fixed, the interface will improve, and the AI will improve as well. Feel free to change some of the calculation settings in DefaultRoutine.cs to see if you get better results.

1 Its the beginning of a new month and everyone who plays needs to re rank up right now is the hardest time for the bot to level.

2 Different AI this is one of the AI on HC but not the one most people there used.

Why not? The bots work in approximately the same ways.
Analyze current board state - assign it a value, do move X, analyze new board state - assign it a value, if new board state value is greater then old board state value then the move is good, if the new board state value is less then the old board state value, then the move is bad.
Obviously it's a little more complicated then that, but that's the basic premise.

The difference in chess is that you probably have 1000x outcomes than in HB using 256 parallel processors.
Also assigning the value to everyplay is easier because you are also predicting enemy turn and since there aren't as many outcomes.

i think you are underestimating the complexity of hearthstone/a card game alot.
you might not consider that in hearthstone a players turn consist of multiple actions.
in chess you only have about 30 moves (geometric mean) for your turn.
in hearthstone i would be glad to have only such few of them.
with 3 minions on both sides (not considering the enemy hero that is also attackable) you have already
162 possible combinations of which minion attacks which minion in which order. (i know that a lot of these combinations lead to the same result).
with 7 minions, windfurry, 10 mana, a weapon and lots of cheap targeting spells you have to do a lot of cheap tricks to make only your first turn calculateable.

As far as the bot goes it's horribly broke and has been for quite sometime. I have used it exclusively on new accounts with 30 win gold cap only that have been banned in a few months. I won't use it anymore as the viability of attaining anything other than golden hero portraits is quite difficult because yu will be banned eventually and have to start over. Unless you can bot 24/7 in this game and go infinite in arena it will take forever to get a card collection. You are better off playing the game yourself if you plan on keeping your account.

But no, the actual HB is too fucking slow, and is fucking easy for anyone to realize that it is a bot playing. No one of moderation or creation say something about these things. Tbh, i'm quite disappointed about the bot, more or less a year ago the developers said that the bot in the "near future" would have been so powerfull to be nerfed.
All i can see is: too slow to be considered a real person, sometimes good plays, sometimes decent plays and sometimes awfull plays, wich is horrible to see since a bot should be doing "perfect plays" and i still see awfull arena drafts... i don't know what's wrong or what are the difficoulties of making the bot better, but 7 months ago, while we were crying to get a decent "golden hero farm" others bot hit the legendary rank.
I bought this bot because i was impressed about the quality of honorbuddy, about his staff and the work behind it... but it seems that this bot isn't loved as his brother, wich is kinda sad since this is not a freebot...

For me too please. I buy this bot but its too slow and make some stupid actions.

Recently I've been using SmartBot, developed by a guy who worked on hearthcrawler and I must say it is far more superior than Hearthbuddy in every way.

Wirmate only worked on the routine. There is no telling how safe the bot is, no one knows who designed the hooking code. Hearthcrawler also claimed it was as undetectable as hearthbuddy and they got detected.

And what makes you say that people can tell you are using Hearthbuddy rather than SmartBot?

A warden detection is a 100% chance to get banned while a player report is far from 100%.

Currently every decent player, every trained eye can recognize a Hearthbuddy user.
I've spotted dozens of HB users in the past and it didn't take me more than 2 turns.
Why Hearthbuddy specifically? Because of it's unique behaviour, which is quite bad.

There are 4 Hearthstone bots at the moment and I tried each and every one.
If you exclude a slighty better A.I in HB, even Hearthranger, a FREE bot is better than buddy...

SmartBot is above all right now, almost as good as hearthcrawler was. It's super fast, does serverside calculations, doesn't consume CPU usage, A.I is way better, it's being updated daily
and what's most important it's very hard to spot. 9/10 games there is no chance you can tell if the bot is playing or not.

For the record this isn't advertising btw. Just stating the facts.

Server side calculations are a horrible idea, it is not a benefit. It was tried in Demonbuddy and removed.

Want an easy way to detect SmartBot? Mark every user for manual review that goes afk when the server is slow or down, or ddos their calculation server (should be trivial to find the ip).

I used UAI before and I would say that while it is not as good as smartcc, it is not that different. You can spot UAI in 2 turns? I call bullshit.

It's not AI that makes Hearthbuddy players noticable.

Server side Calculations in a ping dependant game is a bad idea indeed.
That was the main reason DB was reworked.
In Hearthstone on the other hand it's not bad, considering a stable server.
For now it's great and we will see how it goes.
