Just wanted to take a minute to thank all the devs here for all their hard work! This bot is definitely making progress.
Unfortunately, for me it is still not polished enough to justify the price on my fixed income and I am probably not going to renew my key when it expires next week unless something huge gets dropped.. Realistically I could buy more currency for the money spent than ive been able to farm.

I have spent the last month trying different builds and settings and plugins and spent hours and hours trying to tweak things.. and its just not doing it for me.
I always seem to plateau around level 90 and t10 maps. even with the high chicken settings I am still dying too much to gain any more levels unless I run like t4-6 maps and then it takes days to get anywhere..
I think the biggest problem I am having now is with the lack of combat routine options.. I have tried to look at making my own, but i don't even know where to start with it.. After doing enough reading I was able to make my own filter for AIF and my own settings for Flask Helper.. but the routine is just too much for me. Sometimes it runs great and others it just stops moving and stands still and gets shit on.

With the progress you guys have been making I expect we'll see drastic improvement over the next few months so ill probably revisit this in the future. I think I just came into this after using Honorbuddy and Demonbuddy and expected it to perform better/smoother with less end user programing than is needed in its current state. I look forward to seeing what the future of this project holds and I wish all of you guys the best of luck!

$15 being generous = 30 exalteds
I cant see anyway how some1 cant farm that much in 30 days. You must be doing something really, really wrong.

Your biggest problem from what I read is the lack of game knowledge, get the cookie cutters builds (coc, tornado shot, Arc, etc) and you will see better results.

I have literally tried all three of those.
Current build is coc cyclone discharge. res capped, 60%+ unbuffed crit chance, over 8k es..
In the last 2 weeks of running 12+ hours a day ive farmed maybe 5ex worth of shit.

I probably am doing something wrong, but when it comes down to it, the current state of this bot is not very user friendly and I am spending way too much time playing with it.

well in average you should be easily able to make at least 2-3 ex per 12 hours.

Yeah im not hitting anywhere near that..
I think part of it is just my shitty luck and not being able to maintain a good map pool.
Im really considering just giving up on poe all together.. I really enjoy playing it, but it feels like I can never achieve what I want in it due to RNG..

It is sad to see a post like this - but it is also true - there are some amazing plugins and they make the bot almost human, but UI, documentation and ease of use are not their fortes. The OldRoutine works well if you are farming 67-72 which many botters do, but if you want to see the bot do higher levels then you need to invest a lot of time in understanding the fine tuning in the game itself and then have the ability to translate than into workable code - both of which are time consuming and not that easy. POE isnt a game for the masses in the first place, you only have to look at the way the skill tree works, trying to make a bot for it is a challenge in itself.

Anywho - long story short - I have posted my COC Discharge Cyclone Routine as you said you had tried it without great success - I actually wasn't going to post it because the number of questions you get that you have already written the answer to multple times and the general time that it takes to support a combat routine is actually quite considerable.

Try the routine - there are virtually no stucks and if you use CWDT, Lightning Warp and Decreased Duration the bot will get magically teleported out of danger each time it gets hit. The new Map Runner has some amazing features including the ability to select the absolute most important factor for maintaining your map pool: Pack Size!!

In the famous words of .... me I guess: The more you understand the finer points of the game the better your RNG.

I don't make anything near this either, even with a good, custom made item filter and an extremely well geared discharger that can bot any tier of map.

Some days I make more than others, sure, but I doubt my average, running maps with community mapper, is above 1.5ex a day in prophecy. Might be even lower.

Part of this is because the bot does a lot of things so inefficiently (looting, no CRs are worth a damn with cyclone, etc, even commmapper seems wander aimlessly around the map in inefficient routes, trying to kill all mobs, etc)

I think there is a bit of a misnomer about how much currency you can farm with a bot. For example some people think 2-3ex in 12 hours seems reasonable, others looks at that and say well I didn't pick up any exalts or anything like 180 chaos in 12 hours of farming, so I must be doing something wrong. The reality is that unless you are using something like stashbuddy to convert all the currencies you pick up to fuses and then convert them to chaos, you wont make huge currency. If you don't have a good item filter and spend the time setting prices on your rares you wont make huge currency. If you don't check the variable stats on your uniques you wont make huge currency. As with anything the more time you put in the more you will be rewarded.

Clearspeed is (mistakenly in my opinion) the new meta - how quick can the bot get around the map - well if it doesn't loot anything from any chests or cash in any rares through recipes, then you can achieve sub 3 minute clear speeds. But use something like AIF statistics and see how much currency loot you get from a 3 minute no chest clear vs a 4 or 5 minute clear with chests and you might find the story of Clearspeed being the most important thing to be a fallacy (unless you are hardcore leveling like the twitch streamers, clearspeed seems low priority to me).

I agree with the clear speed meta. You won't be able to sustain 77+ maps all the time.

I pretty much do all of that.. Trying to configure this thing actually forced me to learn a lot about this game.
I spent hours doing a loot filter, i check all my uniques on poe.trade (vendor anything below 1c), I have my filter pick up only gems >1% quality and sell those for gcps, i pick all currency and convert frequently, even sell most of my silver coins, quality flasks for gbbs.
The one thing i don't really have much of a grasp on is pricing rares.. I know enough to spot the stuff thats worth 20c+ but i cant tell the difference between 5c stuff and vendor trash tbh..
On avg im 5-7 minute clears in t8-t9 maps.

i really don't understand this hard on for doing high tier maps. unless you're trying to hit lvl 100, there's really no reason to do them if your main goal is to make currency.
low tier maps have better layouts, it's easier to clear , which means you can drop a shit ton of life and es , which means you can stack mf, movespeed and attack speed, which means you clear faster, which means you earn much xp for your 20 enlightens/empowers, which means you make more money, which means you buy more exilebuddy keys, which means you become dabestfarmerna

AutoPassives and a decent Combat Routine is all i need, zone exploring and combat routine is worse than competitors bot, but everything else seems better

How much IQ do you think is needed to run this bot?I would say not much if some ppl are able to do it...You say its not user friendly?Just lol,how bad you can be to not be able to setup aif and maprunner lol.Thats practicaly all you need to do...

Maybe you are happy with it running half assed.. but I wasn't. The approach I was taking worked very well when I played it, but it was less than ideal for for bot.. Thanks to win I have it performing much better mostly due to a combat routine that was far out of my ability.
Yes it worked, but not well enough for my liking.. All of the other buddy products ive used before performed at a very high level without the end user having to go so in depth to get the desired performance.
Thanks to WiN going above and beyond I will likely re-sub when this key expires.

Are you kidding me,half assed?Dude each of my bots need 2-3 days to pay out their key rest is all profit. You were doing something seriously wrong lel.

Just ask for help if you see something not working right. Lots of users around to help
I'm sure they would love for it to be a lot more user friendly, but almost every major plugin is made from different community users.
To get everything working 100% of the time to make a nice easy layout just wouldn't work as easy as it sounds.

That's why they are the way they are, so that you can still use the bot after certain things get updated.
Otherwise we would probably never be able to use the bot due to downtime trying to get everything updated

It used to be "user friendly". Now, for example, there was an update today - a patch and a hotfix.

As the result, I still cannot get AIF working properly again. I can't copy the settings from the old folder (like i used to before - and it worked all the time). Now if i do that the AIF just doesn't show up in the Plugin list. So I have to re-unzip AIF into 3rdParty folder again. Did that. Now i cannot load the custom rules file - i get errors thrown at me (again, it wasn't the case before, i could just copy everything from the old bot folder).
This is just one example. There are many such hiccups. I'm not saying they are impossible to solve - but it all takes time. And we have to pay every month now, don't we?

You know what I needed to do to get the competitor's bot up and running today after the update?
RESTART IT.

Feel the difference.

How are you updating it?
The bot has an installer and i've never had to make a new folder unless it was a switch from beta to release and that's just cuz it makes things easier rather then updating every plugin that isn't updated yet.
