"Temporarily Suspension" - 3 hour ban

Hello everyone! Was botting last night when i was asleep. Woke up and tried to log in again - was banned. So I checked my e-mail and I had received this from blizz:

Type of Violation: PvP Arena/Battleground Exploitation
Details of Incident: Exploitation of PvP Battlegrounds and the honor system
Consequences for Account: Account suspended for 3 hours

This account has recently been identified as being involved in actions deemed inappropriate for World of Warcraft.

This may include, but is not limited to the following:
* Use of add-ons, "mods", external hardware, or any unapproved third party software to automate gameplay.
* Abuse of game mechanics or "bugs".
* Any behaviour that has been found to be outside the intent of the game.

This action has been taken in accordance with the World of Warcraft Terms of Use Blizzard Entertainment: Blizzard Legal Documentation and our game policies In-Game Policies - Battle.net Support.

Any further inappropriate behaviour could result in penalties ranging from a temporary suspension to account closure, and may also include the loss of any rewards the exploitive character has received.

My question is; will this leave a record of me being an exploiter? Is it worth appealing the ban to get the "dot" removed? Did i just only get a three hour ban, since I've been botting BGs, farming and questing for like a year!

Edit: Also, how paranoid i might be; is it "safe" for me to continue botting for me or is there a higher risk etc?

You are low on the "Penalty volcano" so I wouldnt worry about it and I wouldnt contest it seeing as it's so small. You don't want them poking any deeper into what you're doing.

I got the same thing...but it was an SoR account and it had been active for like 3 days....

Got today a Temporarily Suspension , i was farming rep on Arathi Basin making in 2-3 day 20k rep ( only 5 k remains from Exalted, and i am wondering to stop bot or just continue to farm?
